Embrace Possibilities...

More fun in my molekine art journal today. I love this colour palette and have been using these colours a bit in my art. But hey you can never get sick of colours you love can you? So today I used DecoArt Americana paints in Sea Breeze, Lemon Yellow, Orange Flame and a little Avocado Dip. What a fabulous name for a paint Avocado Dip.. I used Andy Skinner stencils Burning Rubber and Code breaker for my background. I drew the flowers added the DecoArt media line Gesso to cover up the background inside the flowers. Then I layered the colour up with the Orange flame and the Lemon Yellow. the stamps I used were from Finnibair. I really like how long they are and that they fitted well along the stem of the flower. Lots of splatters again, you can't have too many splatters, well I cant anyway.

I was inspired to do this by Nika in Wonderland. You can find Nika's youtube tutorial here if you would like to see it. I have seen many interpretations of this around but Nika's tutorial finally got me trying it.

Trying out a new watermark too. What do you think I should go with from now on?The top one so No 1 (goes across the middle) or the bottom one No 2 the one I always have had (at the bottom right corner).  Not sure yet what one to go with so would love your opinions.

I am linking this up with Paint Party Friday Hi all.

Have a great day
Sandy :)

  1. Beautiful journal pages. I think the watermark looks better at the bottom!Happy PPF, Valerie

  2. This is lovely - great colours and texture. I like the watermark across the middle but perhaps in a different font and size? The one at the bottom takes away from your art a little but would work if it was transparent?

  4. Love this! The watermark in the center makes it more difficult for someone to copy your art, so I like that best.

  5. I love this page. The colors, although not bold, do really make each other pop off the page.

  9. I really enjoyed the colours, textures and flowers. They all contribute to a peaceful theme. I also appreciate that even though there are many textures and elements, there is a lot of "breathing room" between each, allowing my eyes to float through the piece and enjoy each part.
