Just fun stuff...

When I do my letter journals and in happy mail. I always like to include some of my art. So to relax and just for fun. I grab a piece of white card stock and put out some blobs of paint. Then I grab a paint brush and make circles with all the colours. Add some collage papers of anything in my scrap box. Some splatters and then random dashes and mark making with my pens. Of course I added some washi tape. I just got this cool domino washi tape. 

For these ones I cut up into ATC or Artist Trading Card size.  They also make great cards or I back them with card stock to make small gift card type cards too.

ICAD 2018

Over on Daisy Yellow this year. I joined in on the ICAD or Index Card a Day challenge. It is a 61 day challenge over the months of June and July. This is just a few of the cards from this months challenge.  I really enjoy the daily art making. It seems to inspire me to make even more art. 

For these cards, I used my small Gelli plate. 

Decoart acrylic paints. 

TCW, Dylusion and Andy Skinner stencils.

Collage fun.

So I often get asked what do you do with the ICAD cards when you are finished with them. Well I like to copy them on my printer for collage. Such fun images to go in my collage art journals. I make the journals out of watercolour paper and have them for the size that they fit in my fauxdori. They are the Travelers notebook size.  I am in The Artstronauts Club it is fabulous for collage. Teesha is very generous with her wonderful collage sheets and I love cutting and piecing pieces together to make something new. 

Thought I would show a bit of a progress shot in the picture below. 

I got a bit stuck with this one and it was a few weeks before I came back to it and finished it off with the bird in the bottom left corner and the writing. More dots and lines a few more trees and it filled that big spot that at the time I had no idea what to do with. 

It was a fun page and I have done another one that I will pop on my blog in the coming days,.

 

This is my Fauxdori that I made out of my old leather handbag. I just love the soft leather on this and I am glad I was able to reuse the leather. Its great to take with me in my handbag and slot different notebooks into as I need them.

Index Card A Day 21 to 30.

I have been doing the Daisy Yellow Index card challenge. This is my third year and I really enjoy the challenge of doing a small index card art every day for the months of June and July. I am in the Artstronauts club and Tracy Moore draws all these great characters. I just love drawing them now adding all the little circles and shapes to make them come to life.

I drew a baseball and bats and then decided to make it a man. So I dug through some collage to find black and white images. I smeared 2 different shades of blue for the background with a baby wipe.
