There is nothing really interesting on my desk today. The most interesting thing about my desk is I got a new chair.. Its very comfy I brought it from the second hand shop for $5. I have recovered it with left over material from the chairs that I recovered last year. Still have more of the material left so can see maybe some cushions to match to be made out of it yet. Don't you love the bargain bin at material shops I brought 5 metres of this material so cheep. I have done 2 stools and 3 chairs now and the material is holding up really well to the daily wear and tear. It matches my new desk really well, its very comfy and just the right height. I suppose too in this photo you see more of under my desk.. Draws there for punches and wooden stamps. Paints are in the basket and the big pink bucket was in my daughters room with toys in when she was little is perfect for my rubbish bin now.
Julia from WOYWW gets us all together every Wednesday to have a look at desks from all over the world.. Grab a cuppa and take a browse.. Thanks for taking the time to comment and enjoy the blog hopping around all the desks. The other reason why I have not done much on my desk is these little guys. There is 15 of them 3 different breeds Australorps are the black ones, Light sussex are pale yellow and the Lohmans are caramel. My niece had them in her class room to hatch and then we adopted them they are very cute.. We made them a bigger box than this one now as we where only expecting 10 and got 15.. With the cold snap in the weather I have been constantly checking there temp.. They are growing really well have had them for 2 weeks now and will update a photo in there new box next week.
Have a great day
Sandy :)

Hi Sandy,
ReplyDeleteThat chair is beautiful! Did you have to stain it or did it look that great already? Love the fabric you used on the seat.
Oh, those little chicks are so dang cute! I'm going to visit a friend in Phoenix that had horses, chickens, ducks, dogs, cats and geese. I'm hoping to be overloaded with cuteness!

Cute little chicks. We rescued a box of little chicks that someone tossed out at the lake. Kept them for a while and then donated them to a friend who had a farm and took better care of them. So happy to see yours thriving and looking so cute. Happy Wednesday! SueC#129

Great little chair and I love the view out your window. There is no window at my desk but at least I can look across the living room to see the oaks out the window there.
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet little chicks. We used to have chickens when I was little...but I live in town now, so no chickens.
Hope you are having a great weekend!
