Whats on your Workdesk? Wednesday

I am running so late with this one.  Its Wednesday evening here and I'm only just posting for WOYWW at  Julia's stamping ground
So what's on my desk?  Well I bought a new stamp its a chicken wire one from Kaisercraft.  Then I found these cute buttons, little cherubs and some cute little chickens in the mark down button basket at spotlight for $1 love a bargain.  Hmm the card I am working on is just getting moved around from place to place and getting stuff put on it. Think it might turn into an ATC.  Love the background its masking tape and then  embossed was fun to do and I do like the texture of it..
Not much has been happening on my desk as its spring here and for me that means outside in the vegetable garden.  Its nearly planting time and at the moment there is all the mess of soil preparation.   We had ripped up all our edges of our vegetable garden to raise it all for better drainage and in the middle of putting new ones in when hubby hurt his hand.  So its been on hold till now..  So now its just about ready to plant and am looking forward to that bit..
So here is my desk......

I would also like to welcome 2 new followers to my little blog of cards Susanne and Sandy.  Hope you enjoy popping in from time to time to have a peek at what's going on..
Have a great day
Sandy :)

  1. Hi Sandy, your desk does look lovely and tidy. I love that card in the top right, gorgeous colours in those trees. It does seem strange to be visiting someone where Spring is starting and we have Autumn (without any summer either) but then you are about as far from the UK as anyone can get. Hope you enjoy all your planting. Happy WOYWW, Anne (was 82 now 79)

  3. Your desk is really tidy but the weather has been great up until tonight when the heavens opened up. I hope it has not dampened your vegi patch preperation. I do love that card on your desk and the chicken wire stamp is wonderful, I love using it on backgrounds for mens cards.

Thanks for popping by, we must catch up IRL one day.

  4. Oh sorry nearly forgot it is Scotch Advanced Tape Glider and I got it from http://www.craftonline.com.au/ they seem to be the best price in Australia that I could find and I got the permanent tape. The tape comes with 2 rols in a packet and you only need a little. Great bargain. Check it out they also have heaps of other stuff that is a good price. If you spend over $50 I think you get free shipping.

  8. It's only the afternoon in the states and I'm still out here visiting! Enjoy your garden - that sounds like a fine way to spend the time when you are not crafting. Happy WOYWW! Tammy #121

  9. Lovely to hear about your cute bargain buys, Sandy! I'm glad you are progressing with the garden. I've been wondering how DH's hand recovery is coming along. You didn't say otherwise, so I'm going to assume it is healing as it should be. That was definitely one of those one-minute-you're-fine-the-next-minute ... Have a great week and happy planting! Thanks for coming by to visit me already! Darnell #74

  10. G'day Sandy thanks for your earlier visit. I'm a bit late also getting around to desks because of the sewing machine hunt. Love the chicken wire stamp, I've been looking for something like that so will go check out the Kaisercraft store at Robina today.

Now I also checked out an earlier post on your blog and discovered the oh so cute owl fabric coffee mug cosies...if I do buy a sewing machine I'm thinking that would be a fantastic first project. Could you enlighten me as to how you make them please? I'm a bit dumb when it comes to sewing but I think this might be another path to wander up! And apparently if one cleans the machine regularly the paper does no harm to even a top end machine - at least that's what I've read.
    Cheers for now

  12. There's that tree stamp set I do covet. Since you mentioned that it is a retired set I shall have to keep my eyes peeled for it. Well, maybe not. Peeled eyes. Ew! What is the container that holds the inks and punches at the back of your desk? I see lots of people with similar things--great for those punches.

  13. Well, I do indeed enjoy popping in from time to time. I must dig out my chicken wire stamp - such a fun one to use - and I've been neglecting it.

  15. I'm running late this week too...days late!

So sorry to hear about hubby's hand. I hope he's feeling better soon, since a garden waits for no one! We're at the end of our growing season here and still getting zucchini and pumpkins like crazy!

I hope you find some crafting time soon!
