I would like to welcome my 2 new followers Heatherlynne and Suszu welcome to my blog.  Hope I can inspire you to try a new technique or two.

Another first for me today its a color challenge at  The play date cafe  Black, White and brown.  I Have tried to stay really simple, as I think the train image I found at the free vintage digi stamps blog is so lovely.  Its perfect for the men folk in our lives. .

The digi stamp blog is just awesome.  I have really enjoyed looking at all the images.  I have saved many of the pictures, papers, and frames from here on my computer already, they will  make such great cards.  Its well worth a look, grab a coffee you will be there for a while.
So this is my card....
Details Below ......

Ink....................... Black
Image .................Free vintage digi stamps
Stamp set..........Stampin'up Happiest Birthday wishes
Card stock.........Black, white, brown
Die cut................Ez cut Picket fence die

Method to the railway track......
I cut off the top of the picket fence, to make it straight.  I then cut a very thin slice of black card stock, same size as the other rail and pasted it on one side,  with a glue stick  to make railway track. Put the glued part of the track underneath and you can hardly tell.  Thought it worked really well.

Have a great day...
Sandy :)

  2. Very clever! I love how you used a picket fence die to create a railroad track to use in place of a ribbon. Blessings!
