WOYWW #244
I have missed the last 2 WOYWW but I have been busy in my new room sorting things and working in my art journal.. I moved my desk away from facing the window so the window is at the side of me, I can see things I am working on so much better now.. I just have to move everything else now. So what have I on my desk today? My art journal is there and another page that is just a background at the moment on the right there. Some little glass bottles that I found today they will be fun to use on some altered projects. More little brads and clips, on sale still so could not pass them up..
Look what I found at the second hand shop today ideal for my sprays might encourage me to use them more being out like this. Its sturdy enough to have on the ground like this or I could hang it when I finally figure out how I want my room to be..
My husband made me 4 ribbon holders they are on the top of this shelf here.. I painted them my favourite colour turquoise. They are so much better here than in the draw I had them in they kept coming undone and getting tangled.
Julia from WOYWW gets us all together every Wednesday to have a look at desks from all over the world.. Grab a cuppa, I have mine here, and take a browse.. Thanks for taking the time to comment and enjoy the blog hopping around all the desks.
Have a great day.
Sandy :)

Oh wow Sandy...I'm loving some storage ideas you have -- a mug tree turned adhesive holder and that spray bottle holder - what a real find....oh I must keep my eyes open - I'm sure there's mug holders at the local Salvos - I got my desk turned sideways shelf there.Hubby's home he needs a western shirt for the conference so might go now!! Cheers have a great week RobynO #16 ps OOp your journal is really nice too.
ReplyDeleteGuess what Sandy...I went out a bought a mug tree :-)
DeleteOh Sandy love the storage ideas too...
ReplyDeleteOne thing, dont want to prick your balloon on spray storage ... but was told by folk at Joanna Sheen when asked why sprays from there clogged they said they should be stored on side ie laying down to prevent clogging and since have done that no more have become clogged.
I used to store mine upright in spic holder attached on cupboard door not unlike your new container.. however now have a scrounged cane basket and lay them in that.
Great journal, thanks for popping over, Shaz in Oz.x #31

ReplyDeleteI thing reorganizing is a great way to get the rediscover forgotten materials/tools and get the creative juices flowing. I love the mini-shelf unit you found and the ribbon spool holder your husband made for you. Blessings!

Happy WOYWW
Very wise not to commit to hanging or furnishing for good - definitely better to work in it and get a feel for the 'working triangle' that will suit you. And hey - that newly acquired light is good for the mojo huh, your journal looks fab!
ReplyDeleteYour journal looks great. Great find for your sprays and you will be reminded to use them.

What a great find for your mists! I've got a similar style bathroom cabinet for little bits like this that I painted white. Now my mists are in a little heart shaped basket - just need to use them more! #46
ReplyDeleteLove the spice rack(?) for the mists, what a great idea. I think we all suffer from forgetting about stuff thats out of sight, so that should be a great help. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #42 xx
