Oh nice looking desk. Is that rich razzleberry and old olive...I love the new stampin up pads have you seen them? I bought the new in colors and the foam is so different. Juicy. Have a great week. Vickie #49
ReplyDeleteYes they are my favourite colors to use. I have not seen the new stampin up pads will have to check them out. Thanks for telling me about that. Sandy :)
DeleteA technical question ... do you use gold embossing powder or gold stamp ink and clear embossing powder? Which do you think gives the best effect? I like the owl supervisors on your desk.
ReplyDeleteSandra @43
I used gold embossing powder on my card. I really like the effect it gave. I have not used clear on gold though. The owl on the right is quite heavy, handy for holding things down that I want to hold in place to dry.
DeleteA stationary box sounds like a great idea and your gold embossed card looks stunning!! Love the little photo where it really show up:o)

Embossing is the magic that got me into card making all those years ago and I still find myself smiling when the alchemy changes the dull, dirty gold coloured powder to sparkling metal.

Hi Sandy thanks for popping to see me. Gold star for the gold card. Great embossing job. Cant see any spots of stray powder - I always get it everywhere - Luckily I can always opt for the distressed or shabby look when this happens! WOYWW Hugs from Helen 69

Vicki,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry I am late getting to you this week I thought I had already but I was so wrong. Love your crafty desk, filled with all the yummie cards that you have made in the newer posts. See you soon.

I thought you had a skull on your desk but now I see it is a very round owl. You are working with some very pretty colors. I hope we'll get to see the final project. I was wondering how I didn't get to you last WOYWW and then I remembered that I was busy on Wednesday and just plain gone Thursday and Friday. That really cut into my WOYWW visits.
