Day 18 Art every day Month

This is inspired by 2 people really the first one was France Papillon her Week 60 journal on Monday she used linen and cotton for her background. I so loved the look of it I had to have a go.. I used linen and calico the calico is on the top I popped a bit of turquoise paint on my desk and sprayed it with water.. Then I crunched up the calico and dipped and then wiped it up to get my splotches.. The card that is on the right.  It was influenced by Tammy at Daisy Yellow and her index cards with her sewing.. This is washi tape covered cardstock and then I sewed it around the edge and in swirls on it.. The whole reason why I did these pages was to pop this in my journal.  The quote was on my desk as well cut out and not used, funny how many bits I used up on this.. I love sewing on my pages so this was a great opportunity to sew all sorts of bits on here. Linen, calico, hessian, plasterers tape and paper all got sewed on here.. Oh and of course a button..

  1. Anytime I see sewing in an art journal or altered book, I go crazy. A gal after my own heart. This is one fun entry and I love, love the effects you got with your various media you chose.
