Little bit of shabby

Today I'm doing another first for me a shabby card.  Well my attempt at shabby.  Have a huge blister on my finger from trying to make a hot glue gun shabby rose. Will have to have another attempt at them another day.
I so love the Kaisercraft paper pack I bought recently, the papers are just perfect for this type of card.  I even did some paper piercing with some hand stitched zigzag stitching.  I was going to use my sewing machine but then read that its not good for it with the paper bits.  I think I did ok with the hand stitching though.  I did a lot of distressing and some blending on the edges with the Tim Holtz distress Ink Old paper.
I would like to enter in this weeks I spy sketches challenge and the great photo inspiration from The shabby tea room there theme this week is shabby beautiful.
So after I stopped jumping up and down and running water on my finger, this is what I came up with.

I am delighted to introduce 2 new followers Spyder and Elizabeth welcome to my little blog of cards.  I hope I can inspire you to try a new technique or join in on one of the challenges I do.
Have a great day
Sandy:)

  4. Poor you! Blisters are the WORST! Your card is really stunning! Since it hurt you, however, you will have to give it to someone who really truly appreciates it; that will be some comfort for the pain it caused! Heal and have a lovely day!
