WOYWW #202

Had fun with lots of acrylic paint color and water color's, this photo was from last night, I took this photo before it was all cleaned up.. Posted about this art Journal page Here if you want to pop and have a look.. I read not to throw the baby wipes away after using them with paints and inks as they make nice inclusions and add texture, once they are dried out..  They are very bright after all these colors.  My coffee cup is there and my water bottle, paint brushes have made it on to my table now, but pippin my owl is still there watching over everything. I love having my windows open now with my huge table to work on. My friend laughed when she saw how much room I had taken up, hey no one uses this space really except me and I really like all the light from the big windows.. I was thinking when the kids moved out I would take over one of there rooms but don't know if I will, I like it here its nice and warm in the winter.  Depends really how much more stuff I am going to accumulate. The TV cabinet next to me has 2 big draws at the bottom, hmm maybe I could take over that space and move those DVD's, will think on that one. Got my eye on that space though.
Here is my desk today all cleaned up and tidy, thought you would like to see the messy one more...

Does anyone else do that where they start with all that room and end up with only half the craft matt to work on?  Its a crafting mystery..
Its no 202 this week for WOYWW . Julia from Stamping ground gets us all together every Wednesday to have a look at desks from all over the world.. Grab a cuppa and take a browse..

Have a great day
Sandy :)

  2. I feel lucky if I have a quarter of the mat to work on....Really what is the deal with that? Sometimes I just have to do a quick "table tidy" mid project so I can find some tape or my scissors or something like that. Glad to know it's not just me.
I recently moved into a new space (well 6 months ago) and I absolutely love my WINDOW. I think the key is to find the place that suits you and make it your own....just like you have. Hope the week ahead is full of fun projects.

  3. Hahaha I know what you mean!! I have a big desk but the actual space I work on is small and when I am working it seems to be smaller still lol!! But by golly you have a tidy desk, mine hasn't been tidy for a while :-). LOVE your art journal page, they are so much fun to make aren't they and a good way to say something. Happy WOYWW.

  9. Oh Vicki,

We are all like that, start with heaps of room and then dwindle it down to the smallest area possible, most people wont admitt it either. LOL Yes I do exactly that, loose space to creativity. I am loving that big window, I know how important it is to have a big window.

    Happy WOYWW

  17. Oh that desk deserves a WOW all of its own. Great to see a clean and tidy one. My desk last week was down to a postage stamp of space but today is much better - especially as the clay has now been packed away since this mornings airing.

  21. It takes a lot of product to create something as beautiful as your art journal and once all the products come out the work space shrinks! It was great to see the after and the before and then the before again!! I think you have a beautiful spot there in front of that awesome window!!

Thank you for coming by to see me! Have a wonderful week! Darnell #32

  26. Gosh, my desk keeps shrinking too. That's when everything in the way starts moving to the coffee table and sofa. Poor hubby can never find a place to sit in the living room when I am crafting! You were right, the messy desk is more interesting! Kathi #109

  28. Hi Sandy,

What a transformation!! tee hee. I'm really trying hard to keep my area clean, which is the dining room table.

Knitting a jacket -- you ARE my hero! I found a tank top that I'd love to knit but don't have the required yarn. I'm debating about purchasing it or moving on to projects in which I can use up my stash. For years I've just been buying a skein here and there and now that I'm ready to move on from scarves and cowls I don't have enough of the same yarn to make a piece of clothing.

    Thanks for visiting me already!

    Happy WOYWW
