Fathers day and Helmar.

Hope all the Fathers had a wonderful day last Sunday. I have done a scrapbook layout that could be used for all those photos that were taken. I made this scrapbook layout for my daughter to use for her Husband. It's his very first Father's Day this year and with a new baby (my first Grandchild) I thought it would be nice for her to have a page that she just has to pop a photo on and it's done for her photo album. I used a free downloadable image on the page, just so you got an idea of what it would be like with a photo and finished.

For more information and details head over to the Helmar Creative Team page.

I used a Kaisercraft 12x12 sheet of scrapbook paper for the background. I added some Tim Holtz washi tape on top of that in 3 places just strips randomly. I then grabbed some cardboard and ripped the top layers off to show the corrugations. I inked this with the vintage paper distress ink. I used some tags and random papers from the Kaisercraft range 6 1/2 inch paper pad called 75 cents. There is tags and shaped papers in the back of the pack so these were perfect for this layout.  I inked all the edges with the distress ink so it all blended together. Some domino paper and scrabble papers from scraps of Kaisercraft papers just to add some other collage elements. The gears are a punch that I punched out in some scrap cardstock. The printables for the Fathers Day quote and the photo image are free printables and are available below.

I used the Helmar Acid Free Glue  on the back of the cardboard and all the papers. You need very little to get it all down well and the tip of the bottle is great and very easy to do thin lines of glue.

For dimension on some of the pieces I used the Helmar Liquid Scrapdots You need small amounts, just tiny blobs in a couple of places and do not push it down, so you get the dimension. Just lightly pop it in place.

Have a great day
