WOYWW #227

Hi to all at WOYWW... I have not finished my canvas yet pushed it to the side for now.. The only thing I have done in the last week is popped some rows of washi tape on a piece of cardstock and sewed them with my sewing machine.  It turned out ok and was something different don't know what I am going to do with it now. I was thinking about putting it on the journal I made the blue one that is there under the watercolour one, but that is as far as I have got.
My cat Gizmo went missing last Friday and I have been searching the streets for him, letter dropped missing posters.. Miss him terribly he is such a character of a cat.. I have found out from our local ranger that 5 cats have gone missing in the last week so I have just been feeling sick and not much like doing anything crafty..
Here he is a few weeks ago asleep on my chair..

Well that's it I am getting all sad again, cant think about it any more for a bit now see you all soon..
Sandy .....

  2. I am so sorry to hear about your cat. I hope he turns up safe and sound. The missing cats news is a worry - maybe it is worth contacting those owners to see if you can help each other. Sending you WOYWW good wishes Helen 42

  3. I do so hope that your cat gets home to you safely. We've had cats go missing in the past and it's so distressing not knowing what's happened to them. Thinking of you. Hugs. Pam#37

  4. Hey Vicki,

I am so sorry to hear about gizmo, tears are flowing here for the love that you have in him. Ditto went missing many years ago and I was in the same postion as you and it tore my heart apart. I turned out he was locked in a shed up the street and couldn't get out. I kicked the door down as the owners were away. Maybe something like this has happened to him, knock on all the sheds, garages and houses, you never know. If you need help I will door knock with you even if I have to stay down there for a few days. I am off work right now and only to happy to help.

    Cyber hugs Eliza

  7. Awww, I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty. It's the worst feeling, not knowing. We had a cat go missing 10 years ago and we still take a second look at any cat that comes by that looks sorta like him. :-(

He may turn up yet, don't lose hope.

    Happy Woyww,

  9. Aaaw! Our (now deceased of old age) cat was missing too one day in his previous house, my boyfriend found him in a shed as well, he had been missing for two or three days and was quite bewildered, it took him a while to recognize my boyfriend. He wasn't a very outdoor cat, and after that, never ventured more then 3 meters out of the door. He didn't mind at all that we moved in together in an appartment, where he only had a balcony. He loved that :). But I digress - I agree, knock on sheds, look into backyards, get in touch with other owners. A cat might not always miauw when it's scared, sometimes they are just quiet, so take a flashlight with you to look in dark places. Maybe they're just off to a cat party together (keep positive!) (is there a .. don't know the word... female cat that is ready to reprocude... around? Maybe he is after her? Also check at worksites or empty houses or houses where people are moving on or renovating! I hope he is home safely soon!
    hugs,

  11. Oh, I hope Mr. Gizmo shows up safe and sound.

The paper with the washi tape on it looks great. I read of people using their sewing machines on things like this but wonder -- do you use it for regular sewing also?

    Happy belated WOYWW
