I wasn't around last week for WOYWW I missed you guys.. We went on a trip for the week to Phillip Island.. So when we where not exploring and walking, I was collecting pamphlets and tickets from the places we visited so I could pop them in my new smash book. It was quite fun to have something to do with them. I took the box on the right with a heap of bits and pieces that I had printed out before I went.. So just sat when we got back to the caravan at night and cut and pasted them into some kind of order, I really liked it, was quite relaxing.. I still have more to do. I want to make a flip out one of this pamphlet from the quarantine centre in Sorrento, Its from when the ships came through the heads if you had diseases on board you had to stop here back in the days of tall sail ships. So that's what's on the agenda to do while its all still fresh in my mind.. I will do a separate blog post for my trip of some photos of the highlights. The penguins where the highlight for me they where just so cute.
Julia from WOYWW gets us all together every Wednesday to have a look at desks from all over the world.. Grab a cuppa, I have mine here, and take a browse.. Thanks for taking the time to comment and enjoy the blog hopping around all the desks.
Have a great day
Sandy :)

Hi Sandy, oh gosh I remember Phillip Island and the cute penguins, can't believe they're still there lol. Great idea to journal all the bits n' bobs from your trip - happy memories and all that. Thanks for the 'tidy' compliment, I just can't seem to work in a mess, have to clear things away as I'm finished with them.

ReplyDeleteGreat shopping and great collection of leaflets I bet - look forward to seeing them on here.
Hugs, Neet 30 xx thanks for the earlier visit!
I love what you bought! How fabulous to have a stamp that works well with acrylic paint and one that will be unusual too! I love the idea of a Smash Book; I now look out for leaflets and so on when I visit places - it makes trips and holidays even more fun! Happy WoYWW! Julie Ann xx #45

What a beautiful hand made butterfly stamp and your picture is wonderful
ReplyDeleteThat thing you where trying to figure out on my desk is a bracelet I haven't trimmed the edges of the thread off yet. I like to re-inforce the knots with a drop of glue to make them last longer.
