One more valentine

This one has been on my desk for a week with just the heart panel done.  Everything I tried just did not look right.. When I was doing the other valentine cards and I had the intrinsic embossing folder out I had one of those aha moments and it all just clicked..  I did try to put the crossgrain ribbon on it but it was just not right and I am so glad I went for this white swirly one..  It tucked into the decorative brad really well to form the bow.  I used 2 punches for the panel the Stampin'up scallop square punch and my old Creative memories heart punch.. It fitted so well in the middle.  The little heart and love are from the Stampin'up set tiny tags so cute and just the right fit. Popped it all up with dimensional and  3 little pearls at the left and it was done.

Close up of the heart panel..

So 3 cards in the one day I was on a roll, it must have been the rain that finally fell and I wasn't able to get out in the garden today.  My garden is happy we had 24 mm of rain this afternoon since we have only had 2mm in the last 6 weeks this is very welcome.  Hope it hits the fires in Harrietville in Victoria and puts the darn things out..

I would like to enter this in the following challenges.
Rubys Rainbow Valentines
Twisted Tuesday Challenges Anything goes
The sisterhood of crafters Anything with a heart
Shopping our stash Valentines, hearts, red, love.
I definitely shopped my stash for this card the tiny heart paper has been in my stash for years..

Have a great day
Sandy :)

  1. This is a stunner, Sandy, and a true winner in my book! (I'll be surprised if it doesn't win the challenges, too!) I love that wonderful brad, works so perfectly with that delicious swirly ribbon. And your little scalloped squares with the punched hearts, the pearls ... it's a stunner!!
