Cool Water's

I have joined the "Aussie 12 months of tags 2013" swap organised by Judith  of creative studio. The first swap I had to send a tag to Eels of Craftee owls. I have never actually made a tag before I even had to go and buy some as I didn't even have any. I had so much fun though and I am so glad I have joined this swap as it is making think outside of my comfort zone..
So here is my January 'Cool Waters' tag..

I used the Tim Holtz picket fence distress paint on the little boat houses stamps I cut out, to make them look a bit washed out. The sun has been stickled with gold and used some blue embossing powder for the water.. The sky is more distress paint and the boat house and footsteps are stamps from Kaisercraft.. The image of the girl with the bucket and little boat was from the Graphics fairy it is a gorgeous picture..  I just knotted some twine to make it look a little like rope. I made 2 so I got to keep one for myself as its the first one thought that would be nice to keep as a reminder.

Here is the tag that I received in the mail from Judith it is just so lovely so many little elements, the water is just beautiful the texture of the waves is just wonderful.. Beautiful sentiment stamp across the top of the tag..  Love the image of the girl with that glorious hat. So glad I get to keep this little beauty, feel very lucky to be able to have this in my stash..  Will have to make something to hang them on..

So hope you liked my first ever tag and I am looking forward to doing the next 11 of them.
Have a great day
Sandy :)

  1. Hi Sandy, I must be pretty dumb you know 'cause the penny has only just dropped as to who you are! Doh!
I'm wondering how I'm going to display the tags too, I only have two at the moment but of course there will be more coming so if you get any bright ideas please pass them on hey?
    Cheers,
