What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday

My desk is all over the place today.  I have been doing some gold embossing that was fun, can see me doing some more embossing, especially the flower it came up so pretty.  Here is a  link to my gold embossed card.  I am still working on the stationary box.  I have done the tags, gift cards and the note book.  I just have the 6 cards to do and its done, its been a fun project to do.
If you are wondering about why I am talking about my desk then pop over to Julia's stamping ground and join in the fun.

It is my pleasure to welcome my newest follower today Wendy.  Hope you can find some inspiration or just something that makes you go hmmmm.
I'm off to browse some desks.....
Have a great day
Sandy :)

  3. A technical question ... do you use gold embossing powder or gold stamp ink and clear embossing powder? Which do you think gives the best effect? I like the owl supervisors on your desk.

    1. I used gold embossing powder on my card. I really like the effect it gave. I have not used clear on gold though. The owl on the right is quite heavy, handy for holding things down that I want to hold in place to dry.

  5. Embossing is the magic that got me into card making all those years ago and I still find myself smiling when the alchemy changes the dull, dirty gold coloured powder to sparkling metal.

  8. Hi Sandy thanks for popping to see me. Gold star for the gold card. Great embossing job. Cant see any spots of stray powder - I always get it everywhere - Luckily I can always opt for the distressed or shabby look when this happens! WOYWW Hugs from Helen 69

  22. I thought you had a skull on your desk but now I see it is a very round owl. You are working with some very pretty colors. I hope we'll get to see the final project. I was wondering how I didn't get to you last WOYWW and then I remembered that I was busy on Wednesday and just plain gone Thursday and Friday. That really cut into my WOYWW visits.
