Today are some fun cards and ATC's.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used some of the painted papers that I had made for my last project. I had painted 3 sheets of cardstock with my Decoart acrylics as well as a sheet of butchers paper. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OR710Sd4yP8/VvygOXr5ZfI/AAAAAAAAF1k/imYxZ4OFoM0hcMn0uj2qlfSR6AnzD20VQ/s1600/109.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="337" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OR710Sd4yP8/VvygOXr5ZfI/AAAAAAAAF1k/imYxZ4OFoM0hcMn0uj2qlfSR6AnzD20VQ/s400/109.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
From one sheet of A4 cardstock. I cut out 3 cards and 3 ATC's so that worked out so well. I also cut out some black card stock to back them all. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--Q2wq-FnW78/VvygLDZXHsI/AAAAAAAAF1U/dDh-CqBsgI0rtRDfmoUurzb9Xasv4ZliA/s1600/092.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="257" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/--Q2wq-FnW78/VvygLDZXHsI/AAAAAAAAF1U/dDh-CqBsgI0rtRDfmoUurzb9Xasv4ZliA/s320/092.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5SNXA1pME9o/VvygDLYAhyI/AAAAAAAAF1M/c8eztfJx0mMD6XlWWNwR7xsbd8z7Jm5XQ/s1600/094.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5SNXA1pME9o/VvygDLYAhyI/AAAAAAAAF1M/c8eztfJx0mMD6XlWWNwR7xsbd8z7Jm5XQ/s320/094.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Once you paint on cardstock with all the layers of paint and Gesso. It can be quite tricky to get them to stay on without the edges curling up. So using the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/450-quick-dry-adhesive-125ml-detail.html">450 Quick Dry Adhesive</a> did the trick. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mYONRVgcTak/VvygOOQe4YI/AAAAAAAAF1c/3oxsnhsdtLEdfyYh9lVskZnae2eKWEw1Q/s1600/105.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mYONRVgcTak/VvygOOQe4YI/AAAAAAAAF1c/3oxsnhsdtLEdfyYh9lVskZnae2eKWEw1Q/s320/105.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I made some flowers with some old lace curtains. I cut them out with my Bigshot and the Tim Holtz movers and shapers die cut, the Mini Tattered Floral Set. Then using some white string I placed a small blob of <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/450-quick-dry-adhesive-125ml-detail.html">450 Quick Dry Adhesive</a> in the centre. I then grabbed some white string made a circle with the string, filling the centre. Using some tweezers. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GChLdypWpIw/Vvyo7KykofI/AAAAAAAAF2I/cIt50IhWA_oNztq81YJzPYXXrA2PoWDeQ/s1600/101%2B%25282%2529.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GChLdypWpIw/Vvyo7KykofI/AAAAAAAAF2I/cIt50IhWA_oNztq81YJzPYXXrA2PoWDeQ/s320/101%2B%25282%2529.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I placed a small pearl in the very centre of the flower. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aS1MiqvhnFk/Vvyomh8wu3I/AAAAAAAAF2A/HyWjN_fM4RkTCNlp4WpXGfjJHZw5pu_zQ/s1600/130.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aS1MiqvhnFk/Vvyomh8wu3I/AAAAAAAAF2A/HyWjN_fM4RkTCNlp4WpXGfjJHZw5pu_zQ/s320/130.JPG" width="320" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e-xdudlQJN0/VvyuNUKhDLI/AAAAAAAAF2Y/o7inBPjQa1QPkYZOrA_9KBZHVPX8v1BJA/s1600/128.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-e-xdudlQJN0/VvyuNUKhDLI/AAAAAAAAF2Y/o7inBPjQa1QPkYZOrA_9KBZHVPX8v1BJA/s320/128.JPG" width="241" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To finish off my card I wrapped the card 3 times with more white string and using the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/450-quick-dry-adhesive-125ml-detail.html">450 Quick Dry Adhesive</a> placed the flower over the top of the string. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8T_-ITKC98A/Vvyol0Txt1I/AAAAAAAAF14/V3umxskaTR4xaBIT6YCyCUwdxD7cg73rA/s1600/134.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8T_-ITKC98A/Vvyol0Txt1I/AAAAAAAAF14/V3umxskaTR4xaBIT6YCyCUwdxD7cg73rA/s400/134.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Thought the You Rock stamp from Paper smooches, kind of suited my cards and ATC's.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After all, you all Rock.<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
Have a great day</div>

It is so fun to get mail art in the letter box. I am sure it makes the postman smile too. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Wlr90WQcyFA/W1qglWqm9TI/AAAAAAAAHA8/bH5_n6EHGFwnQey7C2FU99PCVneWsjH0ACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/779.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="277" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Wlr90WQcyFA/W1qglWqm9TI/AAAAAAAAHA8/bH5_n6EHGFwnQey7C2FU99PCVneWsjH0ACK4BGAYYCw/s400/779.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mDIwHGjKeqY/W1qkNUHQdJI/AAAAAAAAHCc/eMtAhYLiPRsuepdGfrdnaTqJGnfi-T0EACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/820.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mDIwHGjKeqY/W1qkNUHQdJI/AAAAAAAAHCc/eMtAhYLiPRsuepdGfrdnaTqJGnfi-T0EACK4BGAYYCw/s320/820.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: start;">Using my small Gelli plate on my acrylic block. I added small amounts of acrylic paint. Then using my brayer. I rolled it out and then rolled the excess paint onto my cardstock. I also pressed papers onto my Gelli plate to get some prints too.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ydxMv-JdEFc/W1qgvFWOrHI/AAAAAAAAHBc/WFDQvqlBv34tPyMssSPoXJOsfWRFDm4wACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/788.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ydxMv-JdEFc/W1qgvFWOrHI/AAAAAAAAHBc/WFDQvqlBv34tPyMssSPoXJOsfWRFDm4wACK4BGAYYCw/s320/788.JPG" style="cursor: move;" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then using my <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/craft-glue.html">Helmar Premium Craft Glue</a> on the back of the cardstock I added it to the left side of my envelope. Cutting the excess off with my scissors. A simple way to add some fun to a plain envelope.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dZ3olGEQqWQ/W1qhDHc4TXI/AAAAAAAAHBw/kBvwoljWxpIonZeIOpVAEs_0H1FhWN_yQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/817.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="285" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dZ3olGEQqWQ/W1qhDHc4TXI/AAAAAAAAHBw/kBvwoljWxpIonZeIOpVAEs_0H1FhWN_yQCK4BGAYYCw/s400/817.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ujfGwsGTdAY/W1qndfg_h2I/AAAAAAAAHDM/ngXP62F_i744kENYqViFqVKmaOBSsWVKQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/821.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ujfGwsGTdAY/W1qndfg_h2I/AAAAAAAAHDM/ngXP62F_i744kENYqViFqVKmaOBSsWVKQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/821.JPG" width="320" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ypycDz2V-CI/W1qm6vYpsYI/AAAAAAAAHC0/-c_h99xFrRAu4DsRPWEP6Y4qODbgfsRUgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/814.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ypycDz2V-CI/W1qm6vYpsYI/AAAAAAAAHC0/-c_h99xFrRAu4DsRPWEP6Y4qODbgfsRUgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/814.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
This one I painted the envelope with my brayer and using my Gelli plate as a stamp I stamped on the right side. I then cut some circles out of one of the prints. Using some of the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/craft-glue.html">Helmar Premium Craft glue</a> I added these to the front on the left side. I drew around them with my black pen and did some scribble writing. Added a few tiny circles over the top with a TCW stencil.<br />
<br />
Have a great day<br />
Vicki-Ann :)Sandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15779488078153008898noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2756991385760828294.post-4973024775494863772019-06-04T19:08:00.000+10:002019-06-04T19:08:00.291+10:00Vintage themed mini tags...I have been having some fun making some mini tags. I have an awesome tag punch that I thought needed some use. It is a fun way to use up some of my scrap papers.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GmPZGLHWh4U/W6Mm0ZSnpDI/AAAAAAAAHHM/7g9QvrE3TMAug1vA-KIzJiNzBtqXdRYOACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/141.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="249" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GmPZGLHWh4U/W6Mm0ZSnpDI/AAAAAAAAHHM/7g9QvrE3TMAug1vA-KIzJiNzBtqXdRYOACK4BGAYYCw/s320/141.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<ul>
</ul>
<div>
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nBgXzY7MEcg/W6MlGPcG48I/AAAAAAAAHGk/z2yg_X60RxEaL-7UtqlusUzZOKrDkAuPgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/132.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-nBgXzY7MEcg/W6MlGPcG48I/AAAAAAAAHGk/z2yg_X60RxEaL-7UtqlusUzZOKrDkAuPgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/132.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
So first I cut out some tag shapes from some of my coffee stained papers in card stock. Then tore up some book papers and card stock with some writing on and using a blending tool and some vintage distress ink. I blended around the tag and the torn edges of the card stock. I had some cheese cloth so I cut some of that off and dirtied it up a bit with the blending tool and ink. Then I fussy cut some butterflies, as I am making a few of these. I also used my hole reinforcement punch and punched some book papers to pop over the hole.<br />
Now I have all my pieces ready it is time to get the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/craft-glue.html">Helmar premium craft glue</a> out. This glue is terrific. It glues everything down so well, dries so quickly but gives you enough time to move it or straighten it without leaving a mess of too much glue. It does not buckle the paper and if you get it some in a place you do not want it. You can just gently rub it and it will come off. I would have to say it is my favourite.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mUwTGo_AYAU/W6MmLfoX8_I/AAAAAAAAHHA/zInZb-xlo3MQyShbBdFApsKsmBzyd8XDQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/138.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="318" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mUwTGo_AYAU/W6MmLfoX8_I/AAAAAAAAHHA/zInZb-xlo3MQyShbBdFApsKsmBzyd8XDQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/138.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
So first using the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/craft-glue.html">Helmar premium craft glue</a> and the card stock distressed tag. I glued the book paper, then the writing paper, the cheese cloth layer then on top of that.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhieycQXgEMizRymxxsbKVJRR4FEXcpu9zVph3reh3MigGFGLM7eWpBeMSRI8MV7VtisLfZ3nRzJY8uG_akiCEFjpEzxPTp-OLf6lqDGey-8K7W_P5OpyBeu_gd8Jbrnz2iaEse8-qwoZ2k/s1600/137.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="184" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhieycQXgEMizRymxxsbKVJRR4FEXcpu9zVph3reh3MigGFGLM7eWpBeMSRI8MV7VtisLfZ3nRzJY8uG_akiCEFjpEzxPTp-OLf6lqDGey-8K7W_P5OpyBeu_gd8Jbrnz2iaEse8-qwoZ2k/s320/137.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I popped my focal image of the fussycut butterfly on top of the cheese cloth. I thought the tiny piece of cheesecloth just gave it a bit more added texture.Under a couple of the butterflies, to give them a bit of added dimension. I added a little blob (technical term) of <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/liquid-scrap-dots-30g-detail.html">Helmar liquid scrap dots</a>. I used a bulb clip through the hole and attached a bee and a scissor charm.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RzAqiTGjrrc/W6Mm-aVNM9I/AAAAAAAAHHU/Rl_9q6P12mkw4VbKE8PrMN6saHWMPnTpQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/139.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="289" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-RzAqiTGjrrc/W6Mm-aVNM9I/AAAAAAAAHHU/Rl_9q6P12mkw4VbKE8PrMN6saHWMPnTpQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/139.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
These are a great tiny addition to planners and travelers notebooks. Add them in pockets or attach with a brad. Or even just as a little gift to add a smile to someone’s day.<br />
<br />
Have a great day<br />

My husband and I made a bug, native bee hotel for our vegetable garden. This was such a fun project.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DbObm1PL8ik/XCnaIYsC_AI/AAAAAAAAHQI/7OPDTvtZhg4vPJIXwhjiXO2SDP-UbXSAgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/382.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-DbObm1PL8ik/XCnaIYsC_AI/AAAAAAAAHQI/7OPDTvtZhg4vPJIXwhjiXO2SDP-UbXSAgCK4BGAYYCw/s400/382.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bUczsLaQAiQ/XCnXRiXmHyI/AAAAAAAAHPY/hXESqaJa0twHduGwncyAuL7LirEiqgqrACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/363.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bUczsLaQAiQ/XCnXRiXmHyI/AAAAAAAAHPY/hXESqaJa0twHduGwncyAuL7LirEiqgqrACK4BGAYYCw/s320/363.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First I gathered all my pieces of wood. I have a heap of off cuts from a friend who builds stair cases. So I just looked through my pile of bits and selected them. 4 smaller pieces to make a square and one big enough to back them on.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8olp9oIGL4Q/XCnXiPDwI3I/AAAAAAAAHPk/J1Tv7-IqvcopY_HQEdinw6rICTK8asDLgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/365.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8olp9oIGL4Q/XCnXiPDwI3I/AAAAAAAAHPk/J1Tv7-IqvcopY_HQEdinw6rICTK8asDLgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/365.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I then marked where I wanted the holes drilled on the 4 pieces and the backing board.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8E9oY1Cixt5R94_Qs8ligHA12HDs8Se_EYvqoG70HmJfqmDvWh7C6e-vmsKtgm1kg4js0I1NX6dNJeKZVutXgMGMEDvGKW_8cE2GZiO1niw0GHhdJ4MbNaOwlcmYikaJm9jyF6wBc2jRh/s1600/366.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="289" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8E9oY1Cixt5R94_Qs8ligHA12HDs8Se_EYvqoG70HmJfqmDvWh7C6e-vmsKtgm1kg4js0I1NX6dNJeKZVutXgMGMEDvGKW_8cE2GZiO1niw0GHhdJ4MbNaOwlcmYikaJm9jyF6wBc2jRh/s320/366.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My husband drilled the holes for me. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hX1monmvdiQ/XCnYsC-X9LI/AAAAAAAAHP8/EHswRf9MHMUJBjyKTSLrs5G7vcLYMTe5gCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/367.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="293" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hX1monmvdiQ/XCnYsC-X9LI/AAAAAAAAHP8/EHswRf9MHMUJBjyKTSLrs5G7vcLYMTe5gCK4BGAYYCw/s320/367.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I then ran a line of the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/super-strength-pva-wood-glue.html">Helmar Super Strength PVA Wood Glue</a> along the inside edges. We then nailed the 4 pieces together forming a square. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-twdkbS-7PCA/XCnbJyMrpjI/AAAAAAAAHQU/hMZ2XXUkES08jmgAEeR6ZFTuuc7tLlWkQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/375.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-twdkbS-7PCA/XCnbJyMrpjI/AAAAAAAAHQU/hMZ2XXUkES08jmgAEeR6ZFTuuc7tLlWkQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/375.JPG" width="287" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We attached the square to the backing board with a bracket screwed to the inside. The bracket is covered with all the pieces of bamboo that we cut to fit with a hacksaw and an angle grinder. Cutting all the bamboo to size was the longest part to do. We used 2 different sized bamboo.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-x-MwH1_ICYA/XCnjPO4g15I/AAAAAAAAHRQ/DvWKprqCt_soCmZzEe-9sEMK8RkYUJvxQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/383.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-x-MwH1_ICYA/XCnjPO4g15I/AAAAAAAAHRQ/DvWKprqCt_soCmZzEe-9sEMK8RkYUJvxQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/383.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We had a bit of scrap metal so we decided to bend and nail that over the top to give it a bit more protection from the weather. I painted some chain with a hook, black. I recycled this from a hanging planter to attach through the holes at the top. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You could just tie some rope through the holes and knot it. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Zxa5tprMauc/XCni-51EeII/AAAAAAAAHRE/-7D_fbD2oZ8eT9MK_qxEyS3PhvoYN_GQgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/379.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Zxa5tprMauc/XCni-51EeII/AAAAAAAAHRE/-7D_fbD2oZ8eT9MK_qxEyS3PhvoYN_GQgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/379.JPG" width="236" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So the place to hang this is under shade of a tree. It still needs to get some morning sun though. Wonder how long before we get some insects making a home in here. Will be fun to watch and see how long it takes for them to find it. Bees do such a wonderful job pollinating my vegetable garden if we can help them in any way, I think it is worth doing. <br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
Have a great day</div>

I have been making all sorts of pockets and tabs to add to it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IwTOcYdOTOM/XIcHbTpX5QI/AAAAAAAAHS4/-t0Zj1H77vMaKxGtnizEnFgPCwUEvvHWgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/245.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="280" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-IwTOcYdOTOM/XIcHbTpX5QI/AAAAAAAAHS4/-t0Zj1H77vMaKxGtnizEnFgPCwUEvvHWgCK4BGAYYCw/s400/245.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--K9DHluPeUY/XIcICEi05fI/AAAAAAAAHTE/u6KpWWeN_WQpKt0buP1dQqNzYVl8uDy5QCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/227.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/--K9DHluPeUY/XIcICEi05fI/AAAAAAAAHTE/u6KpWWeN_WQpKt0buP1dQqNzYVl8uDy5QCK4BGAYYCw/s320/227.JPG" width="193" /></a></div>
<br />
I have a lot of card that I like to use up for these sort of things. I reuse all sorts of card and cardboard, once it is covered you would not know anyway. To start for this cut any size you like as it is going to get covered in book paper. So on my card I went around the edge with the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/craft-glue.html">Helmar Premium Craft Glue</a> then pressed it onto my book paper. Then I trimmed with my scissors around the edge. I did the same with the other side but this time it was just coffee stained paper I used. I used this so I could have it blank to journal on. Then on top of the book paper I added some Tim Holtz washi tape to just get a start on some collage.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EzWE-YNcj5s/XIcIXoIPSuI/AAAAAAAAHTQ/LQJxWwpEyZMIoNgEByB94N7gTUiWqOzZQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/231.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="258" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-EzWE-YNcj5s/XIcIXoIPSuI/AAAAAAAAHTQ/LQJxWwpEyZMIoNgEByB94N7gTUiWqOzZQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/231.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Next I selected some ephemera that I have collected. I have a small box I collect things I like the look of. This is sometimes just scrapbook papers that I cut down to fit in the box. I find it easier to use when I look at smaller pieces. I cut it to the size I wanted and then went around all the pieces with my blending tool and my distress ink.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-O5y1O4S2Ghg/XIcIlJFmxiI/AAAAAAAAHTY/lOh_vyh1Nsc2o80n23-l8iInglq3GaM8wCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/225.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-O5y1O4S2Ghg/XIcIlJFmxiI/AAAAAAAAHTY/lOh_vyh1Nsc2o80n23-l8iInglq3GaM8wCK4BGAYYCw/s320/225.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I place the pieces on to the background, then take a photo. This way when I remove them to glue them I have a reference of were I had them. Often it is in layers so a photo really helps.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8cilrtcBfcM/XIcJET8REEI/AAAAAAAAHTw/QukZyOOka_wL2MRWjkduqAxI7e5CRhHnwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/233.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="224" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-8cilrtcBfcM/XIcJET8REEI/AAAAAAAAHTw/QukZyOOka_wL2MRWjkduqAxI7e5CRhHnwCK4BGAYYCw/s320/233.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
So starting with the bottom layers I added the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/craft-glue.html">Helmar Premium Craft Glue</a> smoothing out with the tip of the bottle. I like that if you pop too much on you can just rub off the excess with your finger.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CS3HeEDnwbI/XIcKHiTGi8I/AAAAAAAAHUA/mgNJu9qC8ScnO0nWfgBtqB9v_ZkNLPvowCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/235.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="196" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-CS3HeEDnwbI/XIcKHiTGi8I/AAAAAAAAHUA/mgNJu9qC8ScnO0nWfgBtqB9v_ZkNLPvowCK4BGAYYCw/s320/235.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I wanted a little pocket on each of them so I cut some cardstock in a triangle and just glued with the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/craft-glue.html">Helmar Premium Craft Glue</a> along the bottom and side edge. That makes a lovely little tuck spot to add a tag or some tickets.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Zkg3akSyvXc/XIcKzf0hDYI/AAAAAAAAHUU/nnzrFR69gMANAKZT8WWkCc5PHK2rHK7bACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/239.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="150" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Zkg3akSyvXc/XIcKzf0hDYI/AAAAAAAAHUU/nnzrFR69gMANAKZT8WWkCc5PHK2rHK7bACK4BGAYYCw/s200/239.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2SIkOOsFH2A/XIcKx_x9jJI/AAAAAAAAHUM/slDoHaX9wtEmtTA3gK9YemnM1w-FXGRNgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/237.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="145" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-2SIkOOsFH2A/XIcKx_x9jJI/AAAAAAAAHUM/slDoHaX9wtEmtTA3gK9YemnM1w-FXGRNgCK4BGAYYCw/s200/237.JPG" width="200" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XQuU_AXNirI/XIcLIHN3phI/AAAAAAAAHUw/Olc3lpLbhM0Qe6kEqEbK5i6y8oYoB5s3wCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/240.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="107" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XQuU_AXNirI/XIcLIHN3phI/AAAAAAAAHUw/Olc3lpLbhM0Qe6kEqEbK5i6y8oYoB5s3wCK4BGAYYCw/s200/240.JPG" width="200" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
To add a tab at the top or side I use a die and run it through my bigshot die cutter. I use this die a lot it is one of my favourites. I always do the 2 of them and add the small one to my stash for later. Just fold in half and burnish with a bone folder. Then I use the distress in and blending tool around the edges. Pop some of the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/craft-glue.html">Helmar Premium Craft Glue</a> around the edges and in the middle and press on to your project were you want it. I think they are a cute addition. I often add numbers or pop a eyelet in so I can use a bulb pin and trinket.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cO-JC8ayHUo/XIcMSSUDrnI/AAAAAAAAHU8/u9bJ_Qz1X_UV7jzXm6C1JoOwQk5s69J3ACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/241.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-cO-JC8ayHUo/XIcMSSUDrnI/AAAAAAAAHU8/u9bJ_Qz1X_UV7jzXm6C1JoOwQk5s69J3ACK4BGAYYCw/s320/241.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I really enjoy layering ephemera and collaging it all onto scrap card to make something. So hope you have a go and use your ephemera collection.<br />
<br />
Have a great day<br />

I am an Australian Art swap member on facebook and this time we are swapping postcards. The theme was to recycle Christmas wrapping paper on our postcards and write a quote or some inspiration for the coming year on it.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6Yyd5AQ7BCA/XEl-y6jSw-I/AAAAAAAAHRc/mWfhSzYFNSIYOgO_ZVP3p4XzNa0JT39qwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/162.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-6Yyd5AQ7BCA/XEl-y6jSw-I/AAAAAAAAHRc/mWfhSzYFNSIYOgO_ZVP3p4XzNa0JT39qwCK4BGAYYCw/s320/162.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<ul>
</ul>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-M8zqUSo6W4s/XEl_fQhq96I/AAAAAAAAHR0/VBDl74cWPwYbBwxLRZ0HVjLNjJIQrjDOACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/147.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-M8zqUSo6W4s/XEl_fQhq96I/AAAAAAAAHR0/VBDl74cWPwYbBwxLRZ0HVjLNjJIQrjDOACK4BGAYYCw/s320/147.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I cut my card to postcard size, then I received some lovely hand stamped Christmas paper. I thought was it perfect for this project that I had saved. Using the Helmar Decoupage and Craft Paste. I covered my card with my Christmas paper smoothing out any bubbles.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pyBfowgZH4k/XEl-6L0pP4I/AAAAAAAAHRk/xOenUWbvkCYZG7rHa1qKhLcFGq6_TK5_ACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/152.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pyBfowgZH4k/XEl-6L0pP4I/AAAAAAAAHRk/xOenUWbvkCYZG7rHa1qKhLcFGq6_TK5_ACK4BGAYYCw/s320/152.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Next I decided what I wanted to go on top for the next layer. So digging through the box I decided that the sunflower was perfect. I tore some of my Nana's copied recipe and a bit of bird from some paper.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GZyM5G0xCpk/XEmAHkFl0BI/AAAAAAAAHSA/egfpwMvL4kwziW71T16ZPz-RkD4BUrafQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/154.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="208" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-GZyM5G0xCpk/XEmAHkFl0BI/AAAAAAAAHSA/egfpwMvL4kwziW71T16ZPz-RkD4BUrafQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/154.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I always place the pieces on top before gluing and take a photo so I can look back when gluing.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tRxZ8qnOkF0/XEmAdYvYMDI/AAAAAAAAHSM/V9nQAzhzSCwHc8D07c3tfFFktN7bdEr5gCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/155.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-tRxZ8qnOkF0/XEmAdYvYMDI/AAAAAAAAHSM/V9nQAzhzSCwHc8D07c3tfFFktN7bdEr5gCK4BGAYYCw/s320/155.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
So starting with the recipe piece of paper that is the bottom layer.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-T2ObX88lirg/XEmBC3S_wSI/AAAAAAAAHSY/3aj7ZvkgMksGCQ8QyJhkTbScaypPaItfgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/157.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-T2ObX88lirg/XEmBC3S_wSI/AAAAAAAAHSY/3aj7ZvkgMksGCQ8QyJhkTbScaypPaItfgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/157.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I glued using the Helmar Premium Craft glue. Gluing and adding my layers.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EQQ9c-4w-xE/XEmBoD_1wjI/AAAAAAAAHSk/k5pf2MBpIwQcNILAVhYHAv6OtaDjNNuhgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/160.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="236" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-EQQ9c-4w-xE/XEmBoD_1wjI/AAAAAAAAHSk/k5pf2MBpIwQcNILAVhYHAv6OtaDjNNuhgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/160.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I coffee stained some copy paper and typed some quotes. Inked around the edges with vintage photo distress ink and added them to the postcards using the Helmar Premium Craft Glue. I posted these off last week, I hope my swap partners like them. I made a small one for me to add into a book I want to make with all bits and pieces in it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Have a great day<br />
Vicki-Ann :)Sandyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15779488078153008898noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2756991385760828294.post-26111219345381298822018-12-31T20:52:00.003+11:002018-12-31T20:53:40.536+11:00Tri fold card<div style="text-align: center;">
I am shocking you with bright colours and doodling today..</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I love adding all the tiny marks and doodling on my art work. It is so much fun.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iDgWVvWVsdo/W8P9zHHzlWI/AAAAAAAAHHk/_bKB5GFfzaU9ySXV57FsfJqK9e5fLdEdgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/131.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="234" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iDgWVvWVsdo/W8P9zHHzlWI/AAAAAAAAHHk/_bKB5GFfzaU9ySXV57FsfJqK9e5fLdEdgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/131.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So I cut a piece of watercolour card stock to size 5 x 6 and then lightly sketched a design of some flowers on there. Then using a pink and purple in watercolours I did a wash on the background. Sprinkled water and mopped it up to give some texture. Using some Neocolour II I coloured some book paper with scribbles in yellow and orange. Then added water to smooth it all out. I then used this for my flowers by cutting them into oval and circle shapes.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hIOBgbSz0JE/W8P-DHyfloI/AAAAAAAAHHw/eJ7jfCRTHbIfPmSxZZitD33cNc03r-QEQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/089.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-hIOBgbSz0JE/W8P-DHyfloI/AAAAAAAAHHw/eJ7jfCRTHbIfPmSxZZitD33cNc03r-QEQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/089.JPG" width="320" /></a>.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2hP6HNeXjAA/W8P-PRPw9mI/AAAAAAAAHIA/H_olRTiFqgIaT6IuSpKUx5c_XBwr0wYJACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/092.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-2hP6HNeXjAA/W8P-PRPw9mI/AAAAAAAAHIA/H_olRTiFqgIaT6IuSpKUx5c_XBwr0wYJACK4BGAYYCw/s320/092.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Using the<a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/craft-glue.html"> Helmar Premium Craft Glue</a> I positioned my flowers on the lines that I redrew with my black pen. Adding some squiggles and circles around my flowers. Then I used a blue paint pen and white signo pen and filled in some of the lines.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-I-w8WeYBvs4/W8P-HslmFLI/AAAAAAAAHH4/ul6AhrITwHcSoqwMCUiD10q-Q0t395PuQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/094.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-I-w8WeYBvs4/W8P-HslmFLI/AAAAAAAAHH4/ul6AhrITwHcSoqwMCUiD10q-Q0t395PuQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/094.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I then cut my paper into 3, 2 x 5 inch strips. So I had 3 panels.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ba9GsI7obwI/W8P-jOCYmgI/AAAAAAAAHIQ/QTu7-x28k4knWDuhp3lGFskwnJ_MBxQowCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/095.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ba9GsI7obwI/W8P-jOCYmgI/AAAAAAAAHIQ/QTu7-x28k4knWDuhp3lGFskwnJ_MBxQowCK4BGAYYCw/s320/095.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I backed each one with black card stock cut to 2 1/4 x 5 1/4 and using the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/craft-glue.html">Helmar Premium Craft glue</a> I backed my watercolour panel on to the black cardstock.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-S2Z10vG3hM4/W8P-rEbg0PI/AAAAAAAAHIY/-ty3qTYkpo0gat7-djh1FrUv_Oq_h_PQACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/118.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-S2Z10vG3hM4/W8P-rEbg0PI/AAAAAAAAHIY/-ty3qTYkpo0gat7-djh1FrUv_Oq_h_PQACK4BGAYYCw/s320/118.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I cut a piece of white cardstock 71/2 x 5 1/4 scoring it every 2 1/2 inches along the 7 1/2 side.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Using the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/craft-glue.html">Helmar Preium Craft Glue</a> I attached my watercolour paper design.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XkaOHGZ5QPo/W8P-6kbxLJI/AAAAAAAAHIo/EKCGsIpOz_ocRz6IS4AaPzyOrp8aD8l0gCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/119.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="204" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XkaOHGZ5QPo/W8P-6kbxLJI/AAAAAAAAHIo/EKCGsIpOz_ocRz6IS4AaPzyOrp8aD8l0gCK4BGAYYCw/s320/119.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Stamped my you rock word and backed it with black cardstock and glued that together with the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/craft-glue.html">Helmar Premium Craft glue</a>. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Dm7kJOL1Qho/W8QADNWNmCI/AAAAAAAAHI8/iVWGAh5lUWcbR-oqn65fVj-lqmYiIYPwACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/135.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Dm7kJOL1Qho/W8QADNWNmCI/AAAAAAAAHI8/iVWGAh5lUWcbR-oqn65fVj-lqmYiIYPwACK4BGAYYCw/s320/135.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I really think my friend will enjoy my funky card and she does rock.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Have a great day</div>

Every year I pick a word to be my word of the year. For 2019 I have picked the word Bloom. I have been doing a lot of gardening and when I was looking for inspiration for my word this one just seemed right.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--QiCQj5nQfw/XBsgqc8XCkI/AAAAAAAAHO0/j_VqcmJf2-UfclcHu2f8bZfYV5J8sK4owCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/083.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/--QiCQj5nQfw/XBsgqc8XCkI/AAAAAAAAHO0/j_VqcmJf2-UfclcHu2f8bZfYV5J8sK4owCK4BGAYYCw/s320/083.JPG" width="320" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ixVt6maoDP8/XBsgrd4uwLI/AAAAAAAAHO8/XW1AtUqZ7bAwZi_rNWimjrOZIFaxdtUrgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/084.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ixVt6maoDP8/XBsgrd4uwLI/AAAAAAAAHO8/XW1AtUqZ7bAwZi_rNWimjrOZIFaxdtUrgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/084.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uWrYuFl9q_U/XBshYMHOLfI/AAAAAAAAHPM/XCn_70ZHKOAwKIXacGZCpoq-hI9sx7U4ACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/082.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="180" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-uWrYuFl9q_U/XBshYMHOLfI/AAAAAAAAHPM/XCn_70ZHKOAwKIXacGZCpoq-hI9sx7U4ACK4BGAYYCw/s400/082.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<ul>
</ul>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MowpmUpVly4/XBsVfHAO7rI/AAAAAAAAHNE/a8CLIhAU_cQlCk-5BhgLa-VfURsdvqNMgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/058.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-MowpmUpVly4/XBsVfHAO7rI/AAAAAAAAHNE/a8CLIhAU_cQlCk-5BhgLa-VfURsdvqNMgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/058.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I made a pattern out of paper so I got my sizes the way I wanted them. Then I used these for cutting out my pieces. I cut 5 pieces of hessian and 5 pieces of fabric. I pinned and cut around the shapes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MH_DDdg5DFc/XBsVlrv6fDI/AAAAAAAAHNM/quzA0UslftcCfPrhrx8z0TGZQ3G1fyQ3wCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/059.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="284" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MH_DDdg5DFc/XBsVlrv6fDI/AAAAAAAAHNM/quzA0UslftcCfPrhrx8z0TGZQ3G1fyQ3wCK4BGAYYCw/s320/059.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now grab the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/spray-adhesive-pressure-sensitive.html">Helmar Spray Adhesive </a> (Excuse the hands with the ground in dirt on them, the hazards of gardening.) Make sure you have a well ventilated room and pop some paper down to catch any excess adhesive. Now holding the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/spray-adhesive-pressure-sensitive.html">Helmar Spray Adhesive </a>spray can 20 to 30 cm away from your material, give it a quick spray on the wrong side of your printed fabric. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NuyvjdFTH_U/XBsZy6-rDhI/AAAAAAAAHOE/ckHXAgPwFhE3LZRvM50N1unYjvLX60bWwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/061.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="286" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-NuyvjdFTH_U/XBsZy6-rDhI/AAAAAAAAHOE/ckHXAgPwFhE3LZRvM50N1unYjvLX60bWwCK4BGAYYCw/s320/061.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now just turn it over and position it on your hessian pressing it down flat. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5fakubqPJY8/XBsbKZTXYoI/AAAAAAAAHOQ/74Kg8Hg50hc0CogjfU4JRtL3xhJ9vTXHQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/062.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="276" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5fakubqPJY8/XBsbKZTXYoI/AAAAAAAAHOQ/74Kg8Hg50hc0CogjfU4JRtL3xhJ9vTXHQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/062.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Grab your stencil and because I wanted to position my lettering in the centre and see how it looked. I placed my stencil over my fabric and just used a pencil to get it all in the right spot before getting my black paint pen.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AqlnV61EINk/XBsblwXGNpI/AAAAAAAAHOc/ywhcgUz_sngepSDhHxC5W8vk2NisupBJACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/065.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="216" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AqlnV61EINk/XBsblwXGNpI/AAAAAAAAHOc/ywhcgUz_sngepSDhHxC5W8vk2NisupBJACK4BGAYYCw/s320/065.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Now this bit is optional as it is already on there really well with the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/spray-adhesive-pressure-sensitive.html">Helmar Spray Adhesive </a> I really like the stitching though it just added a bit of detail. I stitched around the edges using a zigzag stitch. As the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/spray-adhesive-pressure-sensitive.html">Helmar Spray Adhesive </a> was on there holding it, everything stayed in the perfect spot. So I did not have to pin anything. How awesome is that. It also made it really easy to fold it over at the top. I just stitched it on the wrong side, so that I now had an opening to thread my string through.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FdbAxF8Ju6s/XBsWRgsJQYI/AAAAAAAAHNY/npAjamel8DQNLcXCke5lAszYwQC8MTvfQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/067.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FdbAxF8Ju6s/XBsWRgsJQYI/AAAAAAAAHNY/npAjamel8DQNLcXCke5lAszYwQC8MTvfQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/067.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I cut some strips of the same fabric using my pinking scissors and just tied them on the ends and in between each of the letters. I thought this added a nice finishing touch to my banner. I just used a bit of washi tape to hang up my banner on the shelf above my desk. I will enjoy seeing this in my art room for the year 2019 to inspire me. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--nJ0Bi6fmho/XBse2Z5hsCI/AAAAAAAAHOo/-Bymzlgz5Ckm-pCUv7_VpRAolYZOix9tgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/080.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/--nJ0Bi6fmho/XBse2Z5hsCI/AAAAAAAAHOo/-Bymzlgz5Ckm-pCUv7_VpRAolYZOix9tgCK4BGAYYCw/s400/080.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Have you chosen a word for 2019? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Have a great day</div>

Hi all <a href="http://lonelycards.blogspot.com/">Vicki-Ann</a> here today and over on the <a href="https://helmarusa.typepad.com/">Helmar Creative team</a> and I am doing some Christmas Decorations.. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MAs0id-T_Bs/W9vJhKyD47I/AAAAAAAAHKw/0oIcfQWgoYMvoeD79JIQtX3b41_L5J-vACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/086.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MAs0id-T_Bs/W9vJhKyD47I/AAAAAAAAHKw/0oIcfQWgoYMvoeD79JIQtX3b41_L5J-vACK4BGAYYCw/s320/086.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I cut out a star shape, out of paper to make a pattern. Then I doubled over my fabric and popped a pin through my star paper pattern.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vhCntpXFrIg/W9vH5h-z7nI/AAAAAAAAHJI/DWbG1CgD7cURCeIgtzbRuP8K88-Z6zcRQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/070.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-vhCntpXFrIg/W9vH5h-z7nI/AAAAAAAAHJI/DWbG1CgD7cURCeIgtzbRuP8K88-Z6zcRQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/070.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BYJ5yLhk9Vo/W9vICu722aI/AAAAAAAAHJQ/H2itwzyfnPg0EtU4BsR19_B1RQS07AjCACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/071.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BYJ5yLhk9Vo/W9vICu722aI/AAAAAAAAHJQ/H2itwzyfnPg0EtU4BsR19_B1RQS07AjCACK4BGAYYCw/s320/071.JPG" width="320" /></a><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kLcAVlPsWeE/W9vIE_PoT0I/AAAAAAAAHJY/ntQiO0SlTbg8yTKnOqkHcgTnI-gBVxZhgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/072.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kLcAVlPsWeE/W9vIE_PoT0I/AAAAAAAAHJY/ntQiO0SlTbg8yTKnOqkHcgTnI-gBVxZhgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/072.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then on the wrong side using the Helmar fabric glue. I went around the edges, leaving a bit not glued at the bottom. Then I grabbed the second star shaped fabric and pressed it on the top. Leave that to dry.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1VCncxwRryM/W9vIZdK33qI/AAAAAAAAHJs/1KiYnRYm5Hsaror2xBg1L2SxPTGOEcX8gCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/074.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="273" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-1VCncxwRryM/W9vIZdK33qI/AAAAAAAAHJs/1KiYnRYm5Hsaror2xBg1L2SxPTGOEcX8gCK4BGAYYCw/s320/074.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I then did a tree shape. I cut 2 large triangles. I just free hand cut them the size I wanted. Then using the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/fabric-glue.html">Helmar Fabric Glue</a> I glued the sides leaving the bottom open. Once it was all dry I grabbed my embroidery thread and needle and sewed the edges for decoration. I did a blanket stitch around the edges that were glued. I then stuffed my star and tree with stuffing. Be careful not to over do the stuffing.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjY3ueip7c-e4lrSJ4ET0PBgcEv8GkpQ0F7e4txFAvFPIUHxgvx9HvZRixE3sR3gbei6Ye7qbR2mG6qxNSnP7lJOaZR58usOEm7oS-sYbQnEmCwhcHNNcWlRQu0AuUUIu7pbuWHs07rbxg3/s1600/073.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjY3ueip7c-e4lrSJ4ET0PBgcEv8GkpQ0F7e4txFAvFPIUHxgvx9HvZRixE3sR3gbei6Ye7qbR2mG6qxNSnP7lJOaZR58usOEm7oS-sYbQnEmCwhcHNNcWlRQu0AuUUIu7pbuWHs07rbxg3/s320/073.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Using more of the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/fabric-glue.html">Helmar Fabric Glue</a> I ran some along the bottom edges and then pressed it closed.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You may need to hold for a little bit or pop a clothes peg or something on it to keep it shut. I then finished off the edge with more of the blanket stitching.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0SVOp2TiB5g/W9vI-vxSabI/AAAAAAAAHKE/2IGwtk3UT4EOpm6vvs26JI2HoWjfkqDqgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/078.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-0SVOp2TiB5g/W9vI-vxSabI/AAAAAAAAHKE/2IGwtk3UT4EOpm6vvs26JI2HoWjfkqDqgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/078.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then for the front I used some buttons and lace for decorations. I sewed on the buttons on the tree.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MTKUkYCfJNY/W9vJHRTz-iI/AAAAAAAAHKM/Z4uv7vCGl8kQAEXKhg0P7v-Di1DOIq3RQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/076.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MTKUkYCfJNY/W9vJHRTz-iI/AAAAAAAAHKM/Z4uv7vCGl8kQAEXKhg0P7v-Di1DOIq3RQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/076.JPG" width="320" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XJIJ9NOTQUU/W9vJKGVSMAI/AAAAAAAAHKU/2Mt2ybVDpn4Ak5MTfqf1TKIFJbeTrPB8wCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/077.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-XJIJ9NOTQUU/W9vJKGVSMAI/AAAAAAAAHKU/2Mt2ybVDpn4Ak5MTfqf1TKIFJbeTrPB8wCK4BGAYYCw/s320/077.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I did not like how the stitching showed on the back so I popped some lace and another button on it to cover it with a dob of the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/fabric-glue.html">Helmar Fabric Glue</a>. For the star I threaded some embroidery thread through the holes and made a bow. I then sewed that button on in the middle of the star. Using some more of the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/fabric-glue.html">Helmar Fabric Glue</a> I glued some lace under the button.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ICx2PRgYD7U/W9vJb1l9_CI/AAAAAAAAHKo/wqs_oezlOMkcl4LXshGlA_5bSE_DHcFpACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/088.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ICx2PRgYD7U/W9vJb1l9_CI/AAAAAAAAHKo/wqs_oezlOMkcl4LXshGlA_5bSE_DHcFpACK4BGAYYCw/s320/088.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Well I had fun making these, they were a quick little project to do. I need to make about another 3 trees. They were my favourite to make.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Have a great day</div>

Today in my travelers notebook I wanted to make some vintage paper clips to add into my journal. I have some wonderful images from the graphics fairy left over that I still want to use. I am really liking the Kraft coloured paper and doing this collage. I am wanting to incorporate a few other things into this as I have been busy making all sorts of things after watching Nik the booksmith, ArtyMaze and Tracy Fox love junk journals on Youtube. Such fun tutorials to watch. They have some awesome free images on the web sites that I have downloaded to use.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7eI1Yz61fj9qnk8EhwCGhdA6ulzITEqwt7oxlMmIw5v5mGeznwPmXHc93x3vAPPNiJj68u0t9K13Srl77VKBZcELP0xXQtYVHvuqv5l27ZCHV7DmLlcNyddPIxBKHSBW5vTPQ-vIztF8I/s1600/060.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7eI1Yz61fj9qnk8EhwCGhdA6ulzITEqwt7oxlMmIw5v5mGeznwPmXHc93x3vAPPNiJj68u0t9K13Srl77VKBZcELP0xXQtYVHvuqv5l27ZCHV7DmLlcNyddPIxBKHSBW5vTPQ-vIztF8I/s400/060.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I ended up getting these bigger paper clips this week after watching a few people making little tags with them and thought they would be fun to add into my journal.<br />
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mOqCO5c1Pe4/W4nqJ7_mqWI/AAAAAAAAHGE/Pop21p18P9wv-SPaodsdh6NBowApt3WmgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/057.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mOqCO5c1Pe4/W4nqJ7_mqWI/AAAAAAAAHGE/Pop21p18P9wv-SPaodsdh6NBowApt3WmgCK4BGAYYCw/s400/057.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have worked on this page over the last few days just adding bits and pieces here and there when I had a bit of time. I really like doing all the blending with the vintage distress inks. The cutting, stamping and piecing together all the different shades of papers so they make one page. I ended up finishing this page live over on my <a href="https://www.pscp.tv/w/1djGXnnkbVXxZ">sandybeached Periscope</a>.</div>
<br />
I am adding this over on<a href="http://paintpartyfriday.blogspot.com/2018/08/paint-party-friday-week-26-year-8-check.html"> Paint Party Friday</a>, Hi all.<br />
Have a great day<br />

I have been having a lot of fun lately using up some of the extra images that I had printed out from Index Card A Day or ICAD. I really like using this craft coloured notebook insert from my travelers notebook. Using up my printed vintage images and just collaging bits and pieces together. I fill it in with stamps and washi tape. Just tearing book and dictionary papers and blending it all with vintage distress ink. I used a couple of my new items on this, stamps, tickets and washi tape.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-In6jvNqVEoQ/W3_R6t6gDBI/AAAAAAAAHFo/fua-vNySWaQKQGKWFkCqI9YePSSt8iURQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/061.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-In6jvNqVEoQ/W3_R6t6gDBI/AAAAAAAAHFo/fua-vNySWaQKQGKWFkCqI9YePSSt8iURQCK4BGAYYCw/s400/061.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This boat image was too big for my index cards and I did not want to cut it too fit. I had fun using all the tickets and trying to kind of tell a story on the pages.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F2rCVZxlSHY/W3_R2lz693I/AAAAAAAAHFg/s9eSPqJBlCkmNIqWVrHa11luGKYu41HIQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/076.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F2rCVZxlSHY/W3_R2lz693I/AAAAAAAAHFg/s9eSPqJBlCkmNIqWVrHa11luGKYu41HIQCK4BGAYYCw/s400/076.JPG" width="350" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On this one I had a bit of a butterfly and bee theme. I love using numbers and tags. I typed the quote on my old typewriter. "Whatever makes your soul happy do that."</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cXuFdUMin98/W3_TdN-q7EI/AAAAAAAAHF4/8Tv29Zi4d6sET9xI46f7WSLgIg5jlU8BgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/088.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cXuFdUMin98/W3_TdN-q7EI/AAAAAAAAHF4/8Tv29Zi4d6sET9xI46f7WSLgIg5jlU8BgCK4BGAYYCw/s400/088.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I made a small pocket out of book paper so I could have my tag hanging out of the side. I have these cool bee trinkets, so I had to add one of those. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Images are from the graphics fairy and some of the bees are from ephemera vintage garden.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<span style="font-size: 12pt;">When I do my letter journals and in happy mail. I always like to include some of my art. So to relax and just for fun. I grab a piece of white card stock and put out some blobs of paint. Then I grab a paint brush and make circles with all the colours. Add some collage papers of anything in my scrap box. Some splatters and then random dashes and mark making with my pens. Of course I added some washi tape. I just got this cool domino washi tape. </span></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: 12pt;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">For these ones I cut up into ATC or Artist Trading Card size. They also make great cards or I back them with card stock to make small gift card type cards too. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: 12pt;"><br /></span>

Over on D<a href="https://daisyyellowart.com/">aisy Yellow</a> this year. I joined in on the ICAD or Index Card a Day challenge. It is a 61 day challenge over the months of June and July. This is just a few of the cards from this months challenge. I really enjoy the daily art making. It seems to inspire me to make even more art. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Napkin art is such fun to do. I had these awesome napkins with butterflies and dragonflies and that blue was just lovely. Using some Decoupage glue I placed it onto some card stock then cut it up to be 4 ATC and 2 postcards. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>

<span style="text-align: center;">Adding some of the Decoart Crackle paste really added some great texture. Rubbing in some of the Decoart Media Antiquing cream really made the cracks stand out. </span><br />

I have had this set of draws from Kaisercraft for a while. I had them painted in Gesso so I used some of the Helmar Tacky Craft glue to glue it together. I have used this before on these wooden projects and it always works terrific and holds so well.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Pl2Ctna0jk8/WoJ0oTzFT4I/AAAAAAAAGz0/FgYYmFxBEV8EQlGpJ0zMj5bT7G__Smi9wCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/198.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Pl2Ctna0jk8/WoJ0oTzFT4I/AAAAAAAAGz0/FgYYmFxBEV8EQlGpJ0zMj5bT7G__Smi9wCK4BGAYYCw/s400/198.JPG" width="253" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Rnmv6A1bHzA/WoJuLOBXAXI/AAAAAAAAGyU/nSRVQMsaHB0WibrhnceSP6QkeCFSUZpkwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/190.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Rnmv6A1bHzA/WoJuLOBXAXI/AAAAAAAAGyU/nSRVQMsaHB0WibrhnceSP6QkeCFSUZpkwCK4BGAYYCw/s320/190.JPG" width="244" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I painted all the pieces with Gesso to seal it all.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_AMioSXZzfs/WoJusvMERbI/AAAAAAAAGyg/YPIFtoLOYzY9nmHzM94p3Jefc5enPWUngCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/082.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="229" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_AMioSXZzfs/WoJusvMERbI/AAAAAAAAGyg/YPIFtoLOYzY9nmHzM94p3Jefc5enPWUngCK4BGAYYCw/s320/082.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I then ran a line of Helmar Tacky Craft Glue around all the back edges. I set some heavy books and my container of journals on it and let it dry.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ARRYqb9z4H0/WoJvUdl6r2I/AAAAAAAAGys/sVou5cWyDN4kcuvrO78_XHHqf_R0ff8rQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/086.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="203" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ARRYqb9z4H0/WoJvUdl6r2I/AAAAAAAAGys/sVou5cWyDN4kcuvrO78_XHHqf_R0ff8rQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/086.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ovk8QomYwAI/WoJvk8qWMLI/AAAAAAAAGy8/8jC4jBlnQ9g24YhgdvYOy3YqzcV11ketQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/089.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Ovk8QomYwAI/WoJvk8qWMLI/AAAAAAAAGy8/8jC4jBlnQ9g24YhgdvYOy3YqzcV11ketQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/089.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
Using some Helmar Decoupage and Craft Paste I tore up some music papers and glued them here and there on all the sides, top and back. Covering the joining slots.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXtRITdc0legvFYpHcLtYXMiBcJEVcTrYs8nC_2sI75v7XzROUTNjpo7XlSgTpT3UzUi-yKmp2Ut9cxMK9ukZ57V1ZPYJwGEsrtVJt7puW-dhHO4tNsGaCo72ZPMfdotKoh6Xw5b-0YHgX/s1600/090.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="275" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXtRITdc0legvFYpHcLtYXMiBcJEVcTrYs8nC_2sI75v7XzROUTNjpo7XlSgTpT3UzUi-yKmp2Ut9cxMK9ukZ57V1ZPYJwGEsrtVJt7puW-dhHO4tNsGaCo72ZPMfdotKoh6Xw5b-0YHgX/s320/090.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I then painted it trying to leave a bit of the music paper showing here and there. Waited for it to dry and sanded the edges and some of the painted surfaces. I wanted it to look a bit distressed.Then using a TCW stencil I added some little detail with a make up sponge in some white paint.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyj5bHvaJ9JuZX0ngiCkWXO2skOYP86fyzji8rWW2IzGE8p5oZ2UA6jnjE0eFEIZZcDCXQyNiybXkd1Vx-sP2iNhZ3_-V6APUiCPaq3n8rPbYW14Vn82e5PevibqPAlkA0fb22cY1ZVHx9/s1600/095.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="168" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyj5bHvaJ9JuZX0ngiCkWXO2skOYP86fyzji8rWW2IzGE8p5oZ2UA6jnjE0eFEIZZcDCXQyNiybXkd1Vx-sP2iNhZ3_-V6APUiCPaq3n8rPbYW14Vn82e5PevibqPAlkA0fb22cY1ZVHx9/s320/095.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
To do the draws I added some music paper with some of the Helmar Decoupage and Craft Paste and then painted it. Folded the draws up and then painted in the crevices, making sure none of the cardboard was showing.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-on8WY28ziqY/WoJz1H0xhUI/AAAAAAAAGzg/SMPqvpXe74YGh-aCZlPvBwT2TRJvmwBYwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/184.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-on8WY28ziqY/WoJz1H0xhUI/AAAAAAAAGzg/SMPqvpXe74YGh-aCZlPvBwT2TRJvmwBYwCK4BGAYYCw/s320/184.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then I grabbed the Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive and glued the edges together. Just holding them until they stuck this takes just a few seconds.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-u-nIe4oRj_E/WoJ0XNDTcvI/AAAAAAAAGzs/ifHNkW7d7T4hoQldAeKsoyMr8z_oUdAjwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/192.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-u-nIe4oRj_E/WoJ0XNDTcvI/AAAAAAAAGzs/ifHNkW7d7T4hoQldAeKsoyMr8z_oUdAjwCK4BGAYYCw/s320/192.JPG" width="207" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
I like to add a quote that I type up on my typewriter to my wooden projects. This ended up on the side. I added it using the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/tacky-craft-glue.html">Helmar Tacky Craft Glue</a>.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Vo6d3aVUZ54/WoJ1LEoMXBI/AAAAAAAAG0I/5dNuqao8NmUNalOFUy6MZQOL9j9wkVkJwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/180.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="144" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Vo6d3aVUZ54/WoJ1LEoMXBI/AAAAAAAAG0I/5dNuqao8NmUNalOFUy6MZQOL9j9wkVkJwCK4BGAYYCw/s320/180.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
I was looking for something to add at the top on the heart and found some thongs (flip flops) and the word chill. Thought it kind of looked beachy my project so thought that will be perfect. I have a beach house stamp, so continuing with that theme I stamped that on some cardstock with watercolour paint. I backed it with a bit of blue card stock that had been painted using my Gelli plate. It matched so thought that looked ok. I painted the word to match.and added a piece of Hessian under the work chill to make it stand out. Added some string that I tied into knots and to adhere this I added the Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive in dots under the knots to stick it down, it worked really well.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-su_bDqquheU/WoJ01MUhpkI/AAAAAAAAGz8/YsMLUFu53MoSV3V19EuYUZhCi4d-l2g2gCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/197.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-su_bDqquheU/WoJ01MUhpkI/AAAAAAAAGz8/YsMLUFu53MoSV3V19EuYUZhCi4d-l2g2gCK4BGAYYCw/s320/197.JPG" width="254" /></a><br />
<br />
This was such a fun project to do and now I have a handy little set of draws to store some craft items away.<br />
<br />
Have a great day<br />

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I scanned some of my Nana's recipe book pages on the computer and printed them out on some of the coffee stained paper for my background.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
To add my sewn elements, I pop a small dot of Helmar Tacky Craft Glue</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
into the back in the middle of my image to hold it in place.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then I can sew around the edge and know the I will still have my border glue free. This way I don't have to wait for the glue to dry before sewing.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YnxYHTMlSk0/WvE9uhJFKWI/AAAAAAAAG8Q/Yu3yZRmFtVILE1Yuszz2P6aKmEEiT0ZKgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/109.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="172" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-YnxYHTMlSk0/WvE9uhJFKWI/AAAAAAAAG8Q/Yu3yZRmFtVILE1Yuszz2P6aKmEEiT0ZKgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/109.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then on some of my images I added a line of Helmar Fabric Glue and pressed down some lace. I could have sewn the lace on but I liked the option of using the fabric glue, as then I did not have to be as precise with my sewing. I could sew all my images on to the backing then choose after, what ones </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I wanted to add the lace too.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcCfmBLeoMsUVf6roCa23mDfbs7Z8YzrNN6gB2cKw6_GccIBtw_ELVfJpivxa_mmQMgmHpWAcVvnABa_VnSPbwHCd4QCVmmeR3MdKh9OZU7Nbbo56vXI3Zh5HbTID7V2fdU5M5iEDkILrh/s1600/112.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="185" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcCfmBLeoMsUVf6roCa23mDfbs7Z8YzrNN6gB2cKw6_GccIBtw_ELVfJpivxa_mmQMgmHpWAcVvnABa_VnSPbwHCd4QCVmmeR3MdKh9OZU7Nbbo56vXI3Zh5HbTID7V2fdU5M5iEDkILrh/s320/112.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I put a small dot of Helmar Fabric glue in the corner of my printed recipe page and added a pearl brad with some lace.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sgOJxeTsOLs/WvE6T9OEwfI/AAAAAAAAG6o/UY0aBIPCllQ1qcS1YaTvBclOjearKRSkACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/091.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sgOJxeTsOLs/WvE6T9OEwfI/AAAAAAAAG6o/UY0aBIPCllQ1qcS1YaTvBclOjearKRSkACK4BGAYYCw/s320/091.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-anLCoEa7R_E/WvFAAPWUd_I/AAAAAAAAG9I/SlQSlON45vk_umcGaxFMLQk32dimi1a9ACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/113.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-anLCoEa7R_E/WvFAAPWUd_I/AAAAAAAAG9I/SlQSlON45vk_umcGaxFMLQk32dimi1a9ACK4BGAYYCw/s320/113.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I then place all my elements on the page to see where I want them to go and take a photo. So then when I move them off the page I have a reference of where I had them all. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3Aqb2ycDj3U/WvE6wLQGc-I/AAAAAAAAG7A/42BLU2kLME0YOveWGz7l0MMlevjrGDMTwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/097.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="248" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3Aqb2ycDj3U/WvE6wLQGc-I/AAAAAAAAG7A/42BLU2kLME0YOveWGz7l0MMlevjrGDMTwCK4BGAYYCw/s320/097.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Using the Helmar Tacky Craft Glue</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
add glue to the back of my images making sure to get the glue right to the edges. I move the glue with my Helmar paint and glue spreader. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XfufxxaHSPk/WvE8kCoBeRI/AAAAAAAAG7s/aiKY2CMIv48qmJKDHJRmGKll1igG-sXXwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/120.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-XfufxxaHSPk/WvE8kCoBeRI/AAAAAAAAG7s/aiKY2CMIv48qmJKDHJRmGKll1igG-sXXwCK4BGAYYCw/s320/120.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I then press the image flat with the Helmar paint and glue spreader. This makes it nice and flat and adheres it really well.</div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So this is posted and on its way around Australia. I am really looking forward to seeing what art the other 3 ladies are going to add to my vintage letter journal. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: start;">*So a bit about letter journals. A letter journal has 4 people. You make a small 8x8 cover and have 4 A4 pages folded in half inside that are sewn in. You add an introduction at the start and add the addresses of all the people in the group in the inside back cover. You do a double page spread in your journal and then send it on to the next person in the group. When you receive a letter journal you do 2 double page spreads in the journal and then send it on to the person after you in the group.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span style="text-align: start;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span style="text-align: start;">Have a great day</span></div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-C7DjQZyskKA/WvEmTKukCqI/AAAAAAAAG3Q/_p0t-QB9XtsraCYure7mQdqX561bmInYgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/135.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-C7DjQZyskKA/WvEmTKukCqI/AAAAAAAAG3Q/_p0t-QB9XtsraCYure7mQdqX561bmInYgCK4BGAYYCw/s400/135.JPG" width="330" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ckaBahq60vg/WvErMnOHHwI/AAAAAAAAG4I/GsrUkUfmhsUrlJTwkKJr-7IV2sgK_8AVACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/017.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ckaBahq60vg/WvErMnOHHwI/AAAAAAAAG4I/GsrUkUfmhsUrlJTwkKJr-7IV2sgK_8AVACK4BGAYYCw/s320/017.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Well I have been busy coffee staining papers. I was all inspired by Nik the Booksmith and all her awesome journals. So I gathered a heap of all different papers. Book papers, copy papers, maps and dictionary papers and coffee stained them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zsMlgKdMdOI/WvEnJIZNWPI/AAAAAAAAG3k/7-sBxeiKK68OxeCC3H79Gf9aGzjCOK1MwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/025.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zsMlgKdMdOI/WvEnJIZNWPI/AAAAAAAAG3k/7-sBxeiKK68OxeCC3H79Gf9aGzjCOK1MwCK4BGAYYCw/s320/025.JPG" width="302" /></a></div>
<br />
Now I had a supply of papers to play with. I started by getting my envelope punch board out and making some envelopes. I used Helmar tacky craft glue to stick them together. I ended up using this envelope to insert my list of addresses where my letter journal is traveling off to.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zyCrf5N1xoI/WvEtMGLLbVI/AAAAAAAAG4U/vWTO1yGeg74nHVGDnm7Ec4T9nIZGdR_TwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/138.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="315" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zyCrf5N1xoI/WvEtMGLLbVI/AAAAAAAAG4U/vWTO1yGeg74nHVGDnm7Ec4T9nIZGdR_TwCK4BGAYYCw/s320/138.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
To make my cover of my journal is inspired by Nik the booksmith she called them frankenpages. I thought what fun. So I gathered all my scraps of papers in brown tones and glued them together with some watered down Helmar Decoupage glue. Just adding layers so they all held together. I left it all to dry well. Then I cut it to the size I wanted 8 inches by 8 inches. Using my sewing machine I sewed here and there. I sewed around some elements and in lines along some. Then I sewed all around the edge.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OXnmSbvceA0/WvEqV7oLrFI/AAAAAAAAG38/RtoYW85pkVQDlf8yMxHMqQBxjTCcBACzwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/136.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="244" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OXnmSbvceA0/WvEqV7oLrFI/AAAAAAAAG38/RtoYW85pkVQDlf8yMxHMqQBxjTCcBACzwCK4BGAYYCw/s320/136.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I went on the computer and printed out a few collage elements. I love these bees by ,,,,, Its a free collage printable and so lovely to use. It is one of my favourites. So I cut 2 of them out. I stamped the word Journal out on some more coffee copy paper and then using some Helmar Tacky Glue I glued them all down on to some coffee stained card stock. I inked around all the edges of everything with Tim Holtz distress ink and a blending tool in walnut stain. Then I popped some brown cotton on my sewing machine and sewed around the edges of them all.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OO2A-k4xb58/WvEm7ThYCyI/AAAAAAAAG3c/gQO6WYiv4D00lSMtzONcMY7EbzKBu3mEgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/027.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OO2A-k4xb58/WvEm7ThYCyI/AAAAAAAAG3c/gQO6WYiv4D00lSMtzONcMY7EbzKBu3mEgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/027.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wQnHTSWVoHU/WvEnpYqyzdI/AAAAAAAAG3w/LvMXe-qJBYQlaum4kd-WInmpDZNSknslgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/029.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="257" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-wQnHTSWVoHU/WvEnpYqyzdI/AAAAAAAAG3w/LvMXe-qJBYQlaum4kd-WInmpDZNSknslgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/029.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I folded it in half and then looked at where I wanted to add my bee collage and my journal word. I thought it looked cool on the front so using some Helmar Tacky Glue I popped some glue on the back of each and pressed it firmly on to the front. This is were it gets so handy to be able to use the Helmar Tacky glue. As I can make all my elements before hand and then decide were I want to put them and they still have the sewn details so it all matches.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-B2qOnfF6rl8/WvEt4EWtv8I/AAAAAAAAG4o/E6zFNLoygIIc1UMtxyPGiDWAZpFXcrlvgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/117.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-B2qOnfF6rl8/WvEt4EWtv8I/AAAAAAAAG4o/E6zFNLoygIIc1UMtxyPGiDWAZpFXcrlvgCK4BGAYYCw/s400/117.JPG" width="396" /></a></div>
<br />
I made a pocket for the inside by sewing around some coffee stained printed paper. I popped another bee collage inside the pocket.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPxbBAjIokTVEwnOkGRtYPwIuPLC7HQxSD0-7hfvezkOcEM7RyTpQzXDmrcCspzszp8QIQWoXm_EepL6vIZcEAtPdy8jnTwhYtakIMihBjop9oC115jeRJenWkywzBfMO-mNDI7m0GfgjM/s1600/118.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPxbBAjIokTVEwnOkGRtYPwIuPLC7HQxSD0-7hfvezkOcEM7RyTpQzXDmrcCspzszp8QIQWoXm_EepL6vIZcEAtPdy8jnTwhYtakIMihBjop9oC115jeRJenWkywzBfMO-mNDI7m0GfgjM/s400/118.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>

<br />
Because this is a letter journal I need to pop the addresses of were this has to go so. I typed the addresses and some quotes up on my computer and stuck them in an envelope that I tacky glued on to the inside back cover.<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-5VmTer_KU90/WvE0PqDAVhI/AAAAAAAAG5w/8b1alKpe-TIjGt2vYsE9rPwgwhdFLfXKwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/101.JPG" imageanchor="1"></a><br />

<br />
Stay tuned for Part 2. More of what I popped inside this letter journal next month..<br />
<br />
*So a bit about letter journals. When you receive a letter journal you do 2 double page spreads in the journal and then send it on to the person after you in the group.<br />
<br />
Have a great day<br />

Hi all <a href="http://lonelycards.blogspot.com.au/">Vicki-Ann</a> here today for Helmar. Today I have a project recycling some old magazines.</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-WM-3in6joD4/WuFPetDiJAI/AAAAAAAAG2E/crKCAyv0VCMpTen2Vli2kBR-0Dhnpsi0ACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/330.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-WM-3in6joD4/WuFPetDiJAI/AAAAAAAAG2E/crKCAyv0VCMpTen2Vli2kBR-0Dhnpsi0ACK4BGAYYCw/s320/330.JPG" width="262" /></a></div>
<br />
So my aim was to use magazines in some way. So I went searching on pinterest for all the different ways you can use them. Wow there is some awesome ideas out there. So now I was all inspired by what I had found, so decided to do a small canvas.So first I grabbed some Decoart Americana craft paint and painted my canvas with 2 shades of blue and added some gesso here and there to add some dimension.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-k7MPzlfCXKI/WuFP5GYNS3I/AAAAAAAAG2Q/NS8uASoPAjghfJUB42PKxLpgYzfWp2QxQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/310.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-k7MPzlfCXKI/WuFP5GYNS3I/AAAAAAAAG2Q/NS8uASoPAjghfJUB42PKxLpgYzfWp2QxQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/310.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Then I went about choosing my magazine images. I really like the texture of the paper in the Frankie magazine it is not a shiny magazine so thought that would work great. So I went looking for a page that had pinks as I thought that would stand out great on my blue background. I found this great one of a doona with all different shades of pinks, perfect. So I just started cutting out tear drop shapes in all the different pinks. On the other side of the page there was some darker colours too, so I cut some of those out.<br />
<br />
*To find images try not to look at the pictures just look for the colours. It can help, if you cut out a frame in paper and hold that over the top of your magazine page. So that your eyes just see the colour and not what the whole image is.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Pva4HnKYQdk/WuFQow2tilI/AAAAAAAAG2c/K7NvasIwA0IFkLwfTTLIwrhbYBx-iMWxQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/312.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="271" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Pva4HnKYQdk/WuFQow2tilI/AAAAAAAAG2c/K7NvasIwA0IFkLwfTTLIwrhbYBx-iMWxQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/312.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bU1uO9S1MCs/WuFTSFVps-I/AAAAAAAAG2o/9eqMCpQnCI07fdybDi0vTahrcFqMg-gaACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/333.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="250" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bU1uO9S1MCs/WuFTSFVps-I/AAAAAAAAG2o/9eqMCpQnCI07fdybDi0vTahrcFqMg-gaACK4BGAYYCw/s320/333.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Now to start to pop down my tear drops I put some <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/decoupage-craft-paste-250ml-detail.html">Helmar Decoupage & Craft Paste</a> a tiny amount on the back of each tear drop with the Helmar glue and paint spreader. I placed this down were I wanted the image to go and smoothed it over with the Helmar glue and paint spreader so that it was adhered to my background firmly with no bubbles.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gaqDewYEcXw/WuFTi-qYTjI/AAAAAAAAG20/GV0lflxiboA9nc4XmQCIRuXkxvKRG6k1gCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/315.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="247" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gaqDewYEcXw/WuFTi-qYTjI/AAAAAAAAG20/GV0lflxiboA9nc4XmQCIRuXkxvKRG6k1gCK4BGAYYCw/s320/315.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN8rvg-HxOvvVfb9WYaa8yPSiRQP1kyMVEKF89IQdfkneAL_zrIyva8xTuzhKWVHuZq3Z7gGsD6oJG0DQHjkUrDskP0LZ63mhvGG-EBpJ8xhWOQRU20pWOIe700DWAw_IaJPIucCqs9lgX/s1600/317.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="264" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjN8rvg-HxOvvVfb9WYaa8yPSiRQP1kyMVEKF89IQdfkneAL_zrIyva8xTuzhKWVHuZq3Z7gGsD6oJG0DQHjkUrDskP0LZ63mhvGG-EBpJ8xhWOQRU20pWOIe700DWAw_IaJPIucCqs9lgX/s320/317.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I waited for this all to dry and went around my tear drops using a fine paint pen. I also went around the edges with some black ink and my blending tool to give it a dark edge. Then sprayed 2 coats of <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/crystal-kote-picture-varnish-matte-spray.html">Helmar Crystal Kote Picture Varnish Matte Spray</a> to seal it as this prevents tarnishing and is non-yellowing.<br />
Have a great day<br />

Hi all <a href="http://lonelycards.blogspot.com.au/">Vicki-Ann</a> here today and I wanted to show you how to quickly upcycle a photo frame to match your decor.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tEx0bavP31k/WqYG8qZXVMI/AAAAAAAAG1I/qIjmO_ZHnUQfxF7_FifFoSUghU2bdAs7wCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/104.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="355" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-tEx0bavP31k/WqYG8qZXVMI/AAAAAAAAG1I/qIjmO_ZHnUQfxF7_FifFoSUghU2bdAs7wCK4BGAYYCw/s400/104.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><br /></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
What you will need.<br />
<ul>
<li><a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/crystal-kote-matte-spray-400g-detail.html">Helmar Crystal Kote Varnish in the Matte Finish</a></li>
<li>Recycled Photo Frame</li>
<li>Sand Paper</li>
<li>Decoart Americana Paint in your colour choice</li>
<li>Paint brush </li>
</ul>
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yatZxjADtHQ/WqYD7NzX_ZI/AAAAAAAAG0Y/ZqYqIHPGODwenhFnwOSOhWzlYwEQyQw8wCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/048.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="311" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yatZxjADtHQ/WqYD7NzX_ZI/AAAAAAAAG0Y/ZqYqIHPGODwenhFnwOSOhWzlYwEQyQw8wCK4BGAYYCw/s400/048.JPG" width="400" /></a><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I bought this at an op shop (second hand shop) for $2 what a bargain hey. Looks a bit scratched up and not the right colour for me but the design of it, is just what I am looking for.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3gNWXctRE0Y/WqYEHWSi6vI/AAAAAAAAG0g/2bIs9TowQTEmATjcc3nHD7TshxRrhynMACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/049.JPG" imageanchor="1"></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx3Vpse1Sw7OxiKT5EB-t6HDUQfE4L-jrcDNsaKyVFEPbY81k7vcaILlS8Z9-3XobAgvBLW4tunNh-dVYTkgA_DNmXuDI8jh3go4hFS91dA6mqK30oZ33hcgKO5o3ZI9Mgl6eqONVz_rZI/s1600/097.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="331" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx3Vpse1Sw7OxiKT5EB-t6HDUQfE4L-jrcDNsaKyVFEPbY81k7vcaILlS8Z9-3XobAgvBLW4tunNh-dVYTkgA_DNmXuDI8jh3go4hFS91dA6mqK30oZ33hcgKO5o3ZI9Mgl6eqONVz_rZI/s400/097.JPG" width="400" /></a><img border="0" height="256" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3gNWXctRE0Y/WqYEHWSi6vI/AAAAAAAAG0g/2bIs9TowQTEmATjcc3nHD7TshxRrhynMACK4BGAYYCw/s400/049.JPG" width="400" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So I sanded it back in places roughly and grabbed some Black Americana Acrylic paint and gave it 2 coats of black paint.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rQoTQn2Gtzg/WqYGOyQatcI/AAAAAAAAG08/J-qErcCcfQIYqIVBFMJQxzYLG_WyRHd-QCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/117.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="305" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rQoTQn2Gtzg/WqYGOyQatcI/AAAAAAAAG08/J-qErcCcfQIYqIVBFMJQxzYLG_WyRHd-QCK4BGAYYCw/s400/117.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then to seal, we gave it a spray of the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/crystal-kote-matte-spray-400g-detail.html">Helmar Crystal Kote Varnish in the Matte Finish</a>. (my husband made a great hand model) This seals it makes it easier to clean. Keeps it from fading and gives a terrific finishing touch to your project.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PhiCTaXhYSw/WqYHN6ghOvI/AAAAAAAAG1Q/hnHtb_uF41gcoT84EZ9EzzoC9PGYEVGUgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/108.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="270" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PhiCTaXhYSw/WqYHN6ghOvI/AAAAAAAAG1Q/hnHtb_uF41gcoT84EZ9EzzoC9PGYEVGUgCK4BGAYYCw/s400/108.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I added some scrapbook paper to size and now I just need to add my photos.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YMPGiubgUrY/WqYIC9Dcg4I/AAAAAAAAG1g/HsULQ3DZqYEcxw3f1BNLQaTqPYUAlTOwgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/114.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="270" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YMPGiubgUrY/WqYIC9Dcg4I/AAAAAAAAG1g/HsULQ3DZqYEcxw3f1BNLQaTqPYUAlTOwgCK4BGAYYCw/s400/114.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I was really happy with how my photo frame came up. Now it matches all the rest of the frames on the wall, of the family photo shelf in my hall, that I am working on.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I had fun on these black pages at first I was a bit tricked then when I thought about how well the signo white pen works on black I just had fun doing lots of dangles.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6gw1WejlkHo/Wn1kReMijrI/AAAAAAAAGxw/wa9ruEwJgecmGVGKNEO45S57bStKzCfYACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/127.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6gw1WejlkHo/Wn1kReMijrI/AAAAAAAAGxw/wa9ruEwJgecmGVGKNEO45S57bStKzCfYACK4BGAYYCw/s320/127.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Stamped on paper with my alphabet stamps and cut and pasted. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yeixr15BoAQ/Wn1kNyBBMSI/AAAAAAAAGxo/_ufaPzSyffEodqxnSM8i1xakT1xVHDqpQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/124.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yeixr15BoAQ/Wn1kNyBBMSI/AAAAAAAAGxo/_ufaPzSyffEodqxnSM8i1xakT1xVHDqpQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/124.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Always fun doing circles. Scribbled words around them. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Yw89S0zOfBg/Wn1kW2M-lSI/AAAAAAAAGx4/Xooz_766sd4zXztfZxIdeOrfCEjnYq_oQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/033.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Yw89S0zOfBg/Wn1kW2M-lSI/AAAAAAAAGx4/Xooz_766sd4zXztfZxIdeOrfCEjnYq_oQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/033.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
More dangles added some Gelli plate printed hearts. I wanted to play with some Kaisercraft Die cuts. So I put them over the background and then painted and blended them in. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
All paint used was Decoart Americana Acrylics, they come in some fabulous colours and such fun to use. </div>

<div>
The shimmer of the Rinea Mettallic paper looks awesome for this and love the way it embosses.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WC8iOcsNFnc/WmFXV_NDF7I/AAAAAAAAGu8/LfFUCJ-KguElOdT7LGDPHhdGklrFR9V_wCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/109.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-WC8iOcsNFnc/WmFXV_NDF7I/AAAAAAAAGu8/LfFUCJ-KguElOdT7LGDPHhdGklrFR9V_wCK4BGAYYCw/s320/109.JPG" width="308" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<ul>
</ul>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-HMNQ61M1bmM/WmFYE8vLFuI/AAAAAAAAGvU/Fm9-wccF66UeLDkNT8AKtwIvCCXjXHxkwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/095.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="250" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-HMNQ61M1bmM/WmFYE8vLFuI/AAAAAAAAGvU/Fm9-wccF66UeLDkNT8AKtwIvCCXjXHxkwCK4BGAYYCw/s320/095.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I made myself a template out of cardstock so had the size I wanted. That made it easier to cut the cardboard and the 2 other layers that I needed. Then I cut the cardboard using a craft knife on the self healing craft mat.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BxDbVx_m1gI/WmFX6isUD0I/AAAAAAAAGvM/xC2voQhq7uw9RLIoY0MRdIv-VtvQARYjACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/094.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="197" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BxDbVx_m1gI/WmFX6isUD0I/AAAAAAAAGvM/xC2voQhq7uw9RLIoY0MRdIv-VtvQARYjACK4BGAYYCw/s320/094.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
</div>
</div>
<div>
Then I cut the part that would cover the cardboard so you wont see that. I edged the bottom of the top page with a wave design. Cut some plastic to fit over the front of your square on the cardboard and a piece of Rinea metallic paper that will cover the back.<br />
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vVlOGVhrHlQ/WmFYj4FN27I/AAAAAAAAGvo/ke1gcwVjALceUI83aEya-8JAY4zT_MSWACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/097.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-vVlOGVhrHlQ/WmFYj4FN27I/AAAAAAAAGvo/ke1gcwVjALceUI83aEya-8JAY4zT_MSWACK4BGAYYCw/s320/097.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I punched hearts out of the Rinea paper it is double sided so gold on one side and purple on the other so that made having it all coordinated very easy. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I ran the purple side up through my bigshot with an embossing folder to add the words, then layered on a white card with first a gold underneath then the embossed Rinea paper in the purple.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3C2icRKfIdo/WmFcMLeE4-I/AAAAAAAAGw4/siVT-tmDLKE3Ybk76-IAs8yWe0ePEy4KgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/106.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3C2icRKfIdo/WmFcMLeE4-I/AAAAAAAAGw4/siVT-tmDLKE3Ybk76-IAs8yWe0ePEy4KgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/106.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vJ4IIInUUZ8/WmFcXXQF_ZI/AAAAAAAAGxE/OWVHFduPAmsCeMYwFnG3PB95kTWKJhDOgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/107.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="220" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vJ4IIInUUZ8/WmFcXXQF_ZI/AAAAAAAAGxE/OWVHFduPAmsCeMYwFnG3PB95kTWKJhDOgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/107.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You need some plastic, I used an A4 plastic sheet and cut it to fit the square.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-G1HzDKnEDFs/WmFaPh1QtoI/AAAAAAAAGv4/Hahk-3m5Jg4O8_er_Ero4ujghNJqaWF1ACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/098.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-G1HzDKnEDFs/WmFaPh1QtoI/AAAAAAAAGv4/Hahk-3m5Jg4O8_er_Ero4ujghNJqaWF1ACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/098.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-G1HzDKnEDFs/WmFaPh1QtoI/AAAAAAAAGv4/Hahk-3m5Jg4O8_er_Ero4ujghNJqaWF1ACK4BGAYYCw/s320/098.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ntTd1mSYNFk/WmFavQ4TMmI/AAAAAAAAGwM/YF1JiRdL25oWtovDIi_wfJWewg9Uzjc8ACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/100.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ntTd1mSYNFk/WmFavQ4TMmI/AAAAAAAAGwM/YF1JiRdL25oWtovDIi_wfJWewg9Uzjc8ACK4BGAYYCw/s320/100.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then your shaker part to assemble lay your cardboard down first.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ySNdNFVNyzk/WmFaee8KMOI/AAAAAAAAGwA/LJIWTg5kyroyabF5Y0cSSf4FNKZXFuCNACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/099.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ySNdNFVNyzk/WmFaee8KMOI/AAAAAAAAGwA/LJIWTg5kyroyabF5Y0cSSf4FNKZXFuCNACK4BGAYYCw/s320/099.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Add your Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive around the edge of the square and place the plastic over and press all around.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoXp5ZfEtORHU0Tx12uRfRjZRiN-of2YCBGHi9FLuUKs1Uy2tlGu8XhL4aty5hUIbDbWDuRo0P1iiynliY1-0EY0iD1J-p3sNd_jtChnazihCvCuPm5vbl80gB5nHnKFLubqpaUTsdGBdK/s1600/103.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoXp5ZfEtORHU0Tx12uRfRjZRiN-of2YCBGHi9FLuUKs1Uy2tlGu8XhL4aty5hUIbDbWDuRo0P1iiynliY1-0EY0iD1J-p3sNd_jtChnazihCvCuPm5vbl80gB5nHnKFLubqpaUTsdGBdK/s320/103.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Then turn it over and add your hearts. I had some showing purple and some showing gold.<br />
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_jqBcTTacgY/WmFbgkoMH7I/AAAAAAAAGwk/l_jQlYc0lR8mHofkAiMo6BckhRSVjOFpwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/104.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_jqBcTTacgY/WmFbgkoMH7I/AAAAAAAAGwk/l_jQlYc0lR8mHofkAiMo6BckhRSVjOFpwCK4BGAYYCw/s320/104.JPG" width="290" /></a><br />
<br />
Go around the back with your Helmar 450 Quick Dry Adhesive and add your purple backing paper and press down all around the edges. Now you have your shaker.<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DkfoHDrscrU/WmFbwXdwsmI/AAAAAAAAGws/IXjwZ55zjT07iyopS6YjbzqidrV98EXSQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/105.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-DkfoHDrscrU/WmFbwXdwsmI/AAAAAAAAGws/IXjwZ55zjT07iyopS6YjbzqidrV98EXSQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/105.JPG" width="295" /></a><br />
<br /></div>
<div>
So all you need to do now is add more of the Helmar Quick Dry Adhesive to the back of your shaker and place it on top of your embossed card.<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pWsTS3bOG3g/WmFctqtZ48I/AAAAAAAAGxQ/hIO4_BiKwR4Dd7JSv40yNQ2Kt0eB-WISwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/108.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="244" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-pWsTS3bOG3g/WmFctqtZ48I/AAAAAAAAGxQ/hIO4_BiKwR4Dd7JSv40yNQ2Kt0eB-WISwCK4BGAYYCw/s320/108.JPG" width="320" /></a><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I added a little wooden detail of a xoxo on top. I used distress ink to colour it purple and added some gold to the edges of it.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
</div>
<div>
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pGAX1zIcaVo/WmFW-oPHqxI/AAAAAAAAGu0/qYu8pXpd92IH4I8lt3W_ao9cpuMcGKUaQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/115.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pGAX1zIcaVo/WmFW-oPHqxI/AAAAAAAAGu0/qYu8pXpd92IH4I8lt3W_ao9cpuMcGKUaQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/115.JPG" width="320" /></a> </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The embossing worked so well and having the double sided papers made it so easy. The Helmar 450 Quick Dry made it very simple and quick. I did not have to wait for layers to dry.<br />
<br />
Have a great day<br />

It was awesome timing for me as I have some gifts for my friends and I needed to make some bags and the foil metallic papers from Rinea are just perfect.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yBAenUUw_GY/WktMD5K6NdI/AAAAAAAAGuY/XYAA3PoIfNog0QHv490BGeBnX1m_IdUEwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/139.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-yBAenUUw_GY/WktMD5K6NdI/AAAAAAAAGuY/XYAA3PoIfNog0QHv490BGeBnX1m_IdUEwCK4BGAYYCw/s400/139.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TBNqCUhVuGc/WktLgvKVB7I/AAAAAAAAGt8/vIQtYl2WSngIN60taQ6e1USia1r-P-S_QCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/120.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="302" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-TBNqCUhVuGc/WktLgvKVB7I/AAAAAAAAGt8/vIQtYl2WSngIN60taQ6e1USia1r-P-S_QCK4BGAYYCw/s400/120.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The best thing about this project is the paper is already cut to the perfect size to make a large bag with the We R Memories Gift bag punch board. So the first step is already done. So all I had to do was pop the Rinea metallic papers from the variety pack on the punch board and follow the directions. The Rinea foil metallic papers worked wonderfully the scored lines made very crisp professional edges and made my bags look great. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pDsfU8wm000/WktL5GTgB3I/AAAAAAAAGuQ/Vf26eQVA_LUeAVzltG1E0wP79hdVkHWUgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/127.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-pDsfU8wm000/WktL5GTgB3I/AAAAAAAAGuQ/Vf26eQVA_LUeAVzltG1E0wP79hdVkHWUgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/127.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-v2R5wOjUDgA/WktLpn6OKBI/AAAAAAAAGuI/_0hnVl_zSiE7W2x4EmysDX1ZawiEE0IagCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/125.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-v2R5wOjUDgA/WktLpn6OKBI/AAAAAAAAGuI/_0hnVl_zSiE7W2x4EmysDX1ZawiEE0IagCK4BGAYYCw/s320/125.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I folded all the scored lines and to join up the bags. I used the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/gemstone-glue.html">Helmar Gemstone Glue</a> and just ran a line along the side edge and on the bottom flap to seal.</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-czxfbFVzBC4/WktMWSXqnJI/AAAAAAAAGuk/-2cTcAo2T2Yo7Bmfy9h9i60-pzoA2d_BQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/142.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="184" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-czxfbFVzBC4/WktMWSXqnJI/AAAAAAAAGuk/-2cTcAo2T2Yo7Bmfy9h9i60-pzoA2d_BQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/142.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div>
I made tags in the purple metallic foil papers to pop on the front with another tag punch that I have but you could easily just cut a square and punch a hole, with a hole punch. I added some stenciling in the background, on the white card stock. Then stamped my words over the top with black ink.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-McM8AoYWIYQ/WktLD-Tj4tI/AAAAAAAAGt0/orP9dPNdIB84rNOougLl5DdZk8uvh77PQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/147.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-McM8AoYWIYQ/WktLD-Tj4tI/AAAAAAAAGt0/orP9dPNdIB84rNOougLl5DdZk8uvh77PQCK4BGAYYCw/s400/147.JPG" width="302" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I threaded silver cording through the holes. (The hole punch is also on the punch board.) Threading my tag on and tied a knot. I wanted my tag to sit at an angle so you could read it better so I used some <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/Helmar-Products/liquid-scrap-dots.html">Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots</a> on the back of the tag and pressed it on gently so I kept the dimension. </div>
<div>
I have not used the punch board before and found it very easy to use and know I will make many more bags in the future. I loved the tiny star pattern on the Rinea foil variety pack papers I would definitely use that again.<br />
<br />
Have a great day<br />
Vicki-Ann :) </div>

<div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I printed off some music paper to use. If you would like to have these to use in your projects they are a free download and available <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/pemq/6299486049/in/gallery-69618982@N04-72157628090054586/">here</a>. </div>

<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Z5GiZ9cFHpM/WiMsMY4s1FI/AAAAAAAAGso/TgUsIXOnLYsSr7y8PJmPQcVwXtFKGCvZACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/225.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Z5GiZ9cFHpM/WiMsMY4s1FI/AAAAAAAAGso/TgUsIXOnLYsSr7y8PJmPQcVwXtFKGCvZACK4BGAYYCw/s320/225.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_z4QEzyetCw/WiMsW4-IYVI/AAAAAAAAGsw/bWEVxETqncQmiNcxhDkK2XgklNOvdhgOgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/228.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_z4QEzyetCw/WiMsW4-IYVI/AAAAAAAAGsw/bWEVxETqncQmiNcxhDkK2XgklNOvdhgOgCK4BGAYYCw/s320/228.JPG" width="320" /></a>So I used some other music papers for the edges, as the A4 sheet of music paper was not quite big enough to cover my star. Using the Helmar Decoupage and craft paste, I spread it onto my star placemat and on the back of the music paper.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Then using the Helmar paint and glue spreader I smoothed out any bubbles. Then I cut out the A4 sheet of music paper using the same technique with the Helmar decoupage and craft paste I placed over the top. Spreading out any bubbles.<br />
<br /></div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
When it is all dry I go around the edges with sandpaper or a cardboard nail file to smooth all the edges and get any of the remaining paper, that is overlapping the edge. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br />
I then used some Decoart gold Metallic Luster to add a bit of sparkle all around the edges. I used it here and there on the front too just because well you can’t have too much gold sparkle.<br />
<br /></div>

<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
To finish it off and to protect it I sealed it with 2 coats of Helmar Crystal Kote in the Matte Spray. </div>

Today I wanted to show how you can incorporate some sewing into your art. There is more details over on the<a href="http://helmarusa.typepad.com/blog/2017/11/butterfly-journal-.html"> Helmar Creative Team page.</a> I have been loving using my sewing machine to add some texture and details into my art. I have been using it on my collage pieces and then using my Helmar Tacky craft glue to glue it down.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4WhTi8-BGug/WgPV5_ODMKI/AAAAAAAAGsM/CtztPDM7JI0MyH8-nqkwYGQyFZSRhNKqACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/320.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4WhTi8-BGug/WgPV5_ODMKI/AAAAAAAAGsM/CtztPDM7JI0MyH8-nqkwYGQyFZSRhNKqACK4BGAYYCw/s320/320.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
First I sanded back the edges of my wooden cover. I then traced the cover of my wooden journal onto the back of the scrapbook paper. Then cut that out with my scissors.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7O-J_CRK0_M/WgPQh9gntGI/AAAAAAAAGqs/Oh9n_SxTU2kmXrkyA2DMsbcpbcqKVU_xACK4BGAYYCw/s1600/290.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="187" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7O-J_CRK0_M/WgPQh9gntGI/AAAAAAAAGqs/Oh9n_SxTU2kmXrkyA2DMsbcpbcqKVU_xACK4BGAYYCw/s320/290.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Using my Helmar Decoupage Craft Paste I covered the wooden journal cover with glue with my paint and glue spreader.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i-tgiXjnq4g/WgPQsBcswhI/AAAAAAAAGq4/vzXuycmdpYcunGm6tLfRX8K1VQ3SQil6gCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/292.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i-tgiXjnq4g/WgPQsBcswhI/AAAAAAAAGq4/vzXuycmdpYcunGm6tLfRX8K1VQ3SQil6gCK4BGAYYCw/s320/292.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Then popped the paper that I had cut out over the top and using the paint and glue spreader smoothed out any bumps so you get a fabulous seal. Once this is dry I covered the back just tearing book and dictionary papers and using the Helmar Decoupage Craft Paste and the glue spreader I just covered it all till no wood is showing.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSGFlP0Pd2zmMDkIL04uJ9osaQPklMMeejqiCSyT9yQplvmhBvPRiMmBzjfr85eA-Fau8oglBhtWYnAmf3w6BmGswX7edu2ziW2H4K7QoH4jVYz0tpsEPYykunHlAM-aRAtSXdv9h5S6mG/s1600/340.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSGFlP0Pd2zmMDkIL04uJ9osaQPklMMeejqiCSyT9yQplvmhBvPRiMmBzjfr85eA-Fau8oglBhtWYnAmf3w6BmGswX7edu2ziW2H4K7QoH4jVYz0tpsEPYykunHlAM-aRAtSXdv9h5S6mG/s320/340.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
To get great edges I use a piece of fine sandpaper and smooth all the edges. You could also use a cardboard nail file. That also works really well. I used some Distress ink and a blending tool on the edges of the wooden cover and on the edges of the papers. So they would blend together a bit better.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1XUBVTVx7-I/WgPRg1ccIRI/AAAAAAAAGrM/N6Wz64j_pQwh6V4-iP_SZFSDXgPLDsqZwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/293.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="259" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-1XUBVTVx7-I/WgPRg1ccIRI/AAAAAAAAGrM/N6Wz64j_pQwh6V4-iP_SZFSDXgPLDsqZwCK4BGAYYCw/s320/293.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
To do the collage I wanted to use that butterfly as my focal point so I gathered papers that matched my background and layered till I was happy with the look of it. Making sure that the book paper underneath the butterfly had enough room to sew around it. Then using the Helmar Tacky Craft Glue I put the layers together. Once it is dry, I sewed it all together with my sewing machine.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7RktLrvRsu8/WgPSBWKqg9I/AAAAAAAAGrY/wMWvVJGxuPIn_jHZ7FTiOf8VbIZD4vj-wCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/297.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7RktLrvRsu8/WgPSBWKqg9I/AAAAAAAAGrY/wMWvVJGxuPIn_jHZ7FTiOf8VbIZD4vj-wCK4BGAYYCw/s320/297.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I thought it still needed something underneath the sewn part so I grabbed some washi tape and some plasterers tape and put that directly on my cover. I grabbed some of the Decoart Crackle Paste and a Palette knife and added it to 3 of the corners. I just love crackle texture.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGUWw82bxppR9NJaONkiA-zkndb-vhDE-C2l57pT4n3zCzSVWfOSinnnLL1PvsbSrRg1DUoaXaEZwsH32Vi3EkgkAhSg1iEIO4V5e1hGjmguR3ywdT62tZQ3rhvjO4ruNOIHoWzhdjdPYd/s1600/301.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGUWw82bxppR9NJaONkiA-zkndb-vhDE-C2l57pT4n3zCzSVWfOSinnnLL1PvsbSrRg1DUoaXaEZwsH32Vi3EkgkAhSg1iEIO4V5e1hGjmguR3ywdT62tZQ3rhvjO4ruNOIHoWzhdjdPYd/s320/301.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
To add the sewn part I used the Helmar Tacky Craft Glue and the paint and glue spreader and put it on the back. Making sure to Spread it around to all the edges. This holds all those layers on to the cover really well.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWuW8va0CX4EYf2MAMHDA7hydovKcLHbkzvtNUqqi_kCYx1dcXZ5xFnzQuvNHiDFoQx5N7esWbJWgK1H9o9f6Jxz_6On2uqFl9yW8ImJVHTb5G8Bj3Yf2O42GoBJoV0FNSA79A8krFC0qV/s1600/305.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="204" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWuW8va0CX4EYf2MAMHDA7hydovKcLHbkzvtNUqqi_kCYx1dcXZ5xFnzQuvNHiDFoQx5N7esWbJWgK1H9o9f6Jxz_6On2uqFl9yW8ImJVHTb5G8Bj3Yf2O42GoBJoV0FNSA79A8krFC0qV/s320/305.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Here are some of the inside pages. Using a clip I just stuck some of the strips of paper I had left over so I could use them in my journal.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6Nxsl4xscvQ/WgPUTJISrPI/AAAAAAAAGsA/OE8U-jFoZIkpgasTYAVCRYasjdqi3HjrQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/339.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6Nxsl4xscvQ/WgPUTJISrPI/AAAAAAAAGsA/OE8U-jFoZIkpgasTYAVCRYasjdqi3HjrQCK4BGAYYCw/s320/339.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
You could easily use some stiff cardboard and use this same technique. I hope this tutorial helps you to make yourself a journal.<br />
<br />
Have a great day<br />

So thought I would do some flowers on a canvas with lots of layers of collage. You can find more details about this canvas on the <a href="http://helmarusa.typepad.com/">Helmar Creative team</a> page.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JlI4GN7hWzk/WdDWmU2zoyI/AAAAAAAAGpA/ooLRj7Y1b9IWFYkVjfIS__LlkBaE40ekQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/088.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JlI4GN7hWzk/WdDWmU2zoyI/AAAAAAAAGpA/ooLRj7Y1b9IWFYkVjfIS__LlkBaE40ekQCK4BGAYYCw/s400/088.JPG" width="331" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XQPiSw2jmqM/WdDX1VDSDmI/AAAAAAAAGpU/yTkQwD_WduMhX76xbS5_Z7jetM7nTJ2TwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/057.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XQPiSw2jmqM/WdDX1VDSDmI/AAAAAAAAGpU/yTkQwD_WduMhX76xbS5_Z7jetM7nTJ2TwCK4BGAYYCw/s400/057.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
I covered the canvas with random scrap papers. I used the inside of envelopes, book paper, dictionary paper and any scrap of patterned paper. I tear these up leaving rough edges. Using the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/decoupage-craft-paste-250ml-detail.html">Helmar Decoupage and craft paste I</a> layer the papers.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eRH23ApoY-c/WdDYHZKp4SI/AAAAAAAAGpc/wnHitCMkR2Qx2DueZonPT1_tCGiRxX50QCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/058.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eRH23ApoY-c/WdDYHZKp4SI/AAAAAAAAGpc/wnHitCMkR2Qx2DueZonPT1_tCGiRxX50QCK4BGAYYCw/s400/058.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I always add the H<a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/decoupage-craft-paste-250ml-detail.html">elmar Decoupage and Craft Paste </a>to the back of the item I am gluing and the surface I am gluing onto. This gives a great adhesion. Then using the paint and glue spreader I go over it getting out any air bubbles.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4CnwYW2dWIg/WdDYYF_kELI/AAAAAAAAGpk/l08_n_L4pco-vtx5IZ5n92S0grDIYoudgCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/060.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4CnwYW2dWIg/WdDYYF_kELI/AAAAAAAAGpk/l08_n_L4pco-vtx5IZ5n92S0grDIYoudgCK4BGAYYCw/s400/060.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I used some modeling paste through a Tim Holtz stencil to add some texture.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UWRF4GGs52k/WdDYoX01TRI/AAAAAAAAGps/T_cxk_W8WWc5n-sTMFLFj4LL2O5EW5v5QCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/064.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UWRF4GGs52k/WdDYoX01TRI/AAAAAAAAGps/T_cxk_W8WWc5n-sTMFLFj4LL2O5EW5v5QCK4BGAYYCw/s400/064.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I then used some Decoart Americana paints and painted over the collage papers. I like just a bit of the layers to show through with pops here and there to add interest.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-teH106C4CM0/WdDYxB09xPI/AAAAAAAAGp0/Y9hLIA67BgodnJTa9fNLBLR_h5z4frfQwCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/065.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-teH106C4CM0/WdDYxB09xPI/AAAAAAAAGp0/Y9hLIA67BgodnJTa9fNLBLR_h5z4frfQwCK4BGAYYCw/s400/065.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I then cut out circles of book paper and using some of the papers from my desk that I used when I was cleaning off from my last Gelly plate day. I cut out some flower petals. Then placing them so I could add stems I used the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/decoupage-craft-paste-250ml-detail.html">Helmar Decoupage and Craft Paste</a> and the paint and glue spreader and put them on. Remember to use the paint and glue spreader again so you get the bubbles out. This all dries clear so no need to worry about any excess glue. Wait for all of it to dry I like to leave it all for a few hours at least or come back the next day. I have wrecked many a pen by trying to draw over the wet paint. So now it is time for the doodling I added stems and lines with my black pen and white pens. I love doing all the doodling.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-J7UYduBHmYw/WdDZb5xQ5HI/AAAAAAAAGqA/A5Z9clDNJzwpb0_uNwdQcZsvfQzO5b1uQCK4BGAYYCw/s1600/067.JPG" imageanchor="1"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-J7UYduBHmYw/WdDZb5xQ5HI/AAAAAAAAGqA/A5Z9clDNJzwpb0_uNwdQcZsvfQzO5b1uQCK4BGAYYCw/s400/067.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCeArI9SPEywTro7VL-nw9B8eOhhlpmGXM_iIshq8hwzjkMwpU5m2LFyh8iUYdZv6TlblXYT-eviOz7Fc6QwkIkKBfvFTIAY5tWQMHuS8fnfaKY8U47DnDTxbG0JlAvQ5U9tbYwo-ZNeQI/s1600/085.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCeArI9SPEywTro7VL-nw9B8eOhhlpmGXM_iIshq8hwzjkMwpU5m2LFyh8iUYdZv6TlblXYT-eviOz7Fc6QwkIkKBfvFTIAY5tWQMHuS8fnfaKY8U47DnDTxbG0JlAvQ5U9tbYwo-ZNeQI/s400/085.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
So for the final step once the pen is dry give it 2 coats of the <a href="http://www.helmar.com.au/crystal-kote-picture-varnish-matte-spray-400g-detail.html">Helmar Crystal Kote Matt sealant</a> this stops it from fading and seals it all in perfectly.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
