Spotty...

I had a strip of words that I cut off the side of a piece of cardstock, they where just crying out to be used. Modpodged some scrap paper onto a page and just added a bit of pink and gesso.. then lots of purple circles and some black ones for the words to stick on. Went around the circles with my signo white pen. I just felt the need to get messy today and think I accomplished that well..

Hope you get messy soon too.
Have a great day

Something wonderful...

This was one of those pages that was just something I was playing around with.. Its my favourite way to do a journal page to just play and see what you end up with.. I started with just putting some masking tape on the pages.. I then painted it with pink with a baby wipe just to get colour on there.. I then got the Typo circle stencil out it is the coolest stencil just lots of circles.. So stenciled them along the middle.. I went around them with my white signo pen just loosely then with my black pen.. Washi tape along the bottom and a little at the top right.. The writing well that is Sandee's Wonky lettering. The quote is something that we all need to remember.. " By being yourself you put something wonderful in the world that was not there before" by Edmin Elliot.
I will enter this over at Frosted designs for Sandee's wonky lettering month long challenge..

Have a great day

Hearts and Flowers...

This journal page is done with Gelli plate book paper that I used to cut out the hearts and the flower petals. The background is a stencil that I just rubbed the excess paint off on it. I have been looking for a quote and could not find anything I liked.. So I wrote my own quote..

Hearts and flowers are both delicate.
But when given time,
both can Bloom..

After writing the quote using Sandee's Wonky lettering, I used the crafters workshop stencil 'mini time travel' to add some clocks.
I am going to enter this in the following challenge
Simon says stamp blog Spring flowers.

Have a great day

Home...

I have always liked the way Sandee Setliff does her signs and the shape of them.. So I asked Sandee for more details and then asked my husband if he could cut some out in some left over ply wood that we had, its not the same as what Sandee uses but I thought it would work, it was what we had and I like to recycle.. So he made me 4 of them, I have painted 3 so far. The others I will be posting after I take some more photos..
This one is done in acrylic paints..  I sponged the background with a baby wipe, used the Kaisercraft doily stencil to do the pink pattern. I then drew my design for the tree and painted that in with Gesso. The house is done with book paper and my Gelli plate. I did the windows and door with two of my hand carved eraser stamps. The quote is done on my typewriter ' A house is made of walls and beams. A home is made of Love and Dreams'. I popped some of my rolled paper beads and some wooden ones on the wire, just because I could.

With the button flowers, I stumbled across the perfect ones in a jar of mixed ones.  I was looking for pink ones and these say 'together' embedded in the actual button. So how perfect was that..

I really liked the way the swirls come up at the bottom to the house.. Its done in my favourite colours.  Americana sea breeze and vivid violet, to get the pink I just added white to the leftover vivid violet.. I put little bits of the valley colours on the house to blend it all in.. Bit of doodling in black and the signo white pen. The bird is in book paper too, just a scrap of blue..
I enjoyed doing this and don't think this will be my last house. I have looked and looked at houses that other people have done and put it on the to do list for so long, I am so glad that I finally got one done.

Have a great day

Dress form...

I just love the Tim Holtz dress form die cut.. I think I have made about 5 tags and cards from it in the last month.. So thought I would show you a couple of cards that I have made with it..

This one has a doily and a vintage sewing pattern that I glued on the background.. Lace along the edge and of course all sewed around the edge of the card. Stampin'up french script stamp on the dress form and book paper. Lace just across the bottom for a frill..

I used the stampin up french script stamp in the background for this one. Die cut of a picket fence and some cute little flowers.. On the dress form I cut it out in Kaisercraft pattern paper and glued it on the dress form cut out of cream cardstock.. Trimmed around the neck and added pearls.. I used more lace gathered up for the frilly skirt bottom..  One of my book paper beads and a heart pin. On both I have used the old paper and tea die distress inks and Tim holtz washi tape..

I am going to enter the 2nd card with the flowers in the challenge over at
Our creative corner Use those leftovers.. The leftovers I used where the 3 little flowers glad to find a little spot for those they where so cute.. The card stock was over from 2 other cards that I had made and was just enough for the dress.  The little bow with pearls has been sitting in a little container for ages waiting for the perfect spot.. I used the last of the leftover lace to pop around the reel I just had enough..

Have a great day

Wonky village...

Today I watched Sundays with Sandee on frosted designs.. This week it was a new lettering style to try called Wonky lettering.. So I was thinking ok this looks a fun one to do and wanted to just do some more in my watercolour book.. So this is what I came up with.. Its a wonky village in the sky, goes perfectly with the wonky lettering, thanks Sandee for the inspiration...

I found Madeline de Kemp on Pinterest and all her wonderful bright creations worth taking a peek at her flickr page here. Such fun bright colours Madeline uses, cant help but make you smile at the wonderful things she does. I don't think this will be my last village somehow...

Blitsy mixed media competition...

I saw this on Blitsy today and thought I would enter. All the details are at blitsy crafts national scrapbooking day challenge 2 if you want to enter too.  So what you have to do is use 2 of the chosen mediums.. I used 3 of them, paint, ink, and gesso.. You also have a colour scheme.. That was not hard to use as they are my favourites. So I went with a tag and used the Tim Holts movers and shapers dies for the butterflies..  Gelli plate background with diamond stencil.. I just had to have spots so they made an appearance.. The love quote stamp is from Stampin'up 'Butterfly prints'.
So linking this up at https://blitsy.com/inspiration/index/view/butterfly-love-/
